i dropped my phone in the toilet

like the title says....

i had the phone on teh edge of the counter in my bathroom and somehow it fell off the counter, bounced off the toilet seat and bounced right into the toilet......
what fuckin luck right......shit
now the phoen wont turn on

figured it shorthed out, when i close it and open it, i can see the button outline on teh screen from where the condensation is commin out from under the buttons ( i think i woreded that right )
but yeah i got the insurance, i gotta pay 50 dollars to get the same exact phone again though

hmm...well i got the insurance plan with sprint, im just gon order another one....it was on once i fished it out the toilet but when i started dryin it off, it turned off and now it wont turn back on.....all these phone #'s i have.....gone

i hope u payed the few bux extra for insurance... cuz theyll dissect that shit to see if it was water-damaged. When its shorted out, its fucked, nothing u can do... this happened to my phone a year back and Tmobile wasnt all that helpful either. 75$, new fone

I dropped my phone in a spit cup in my car. It was submerged about 3/4 of the way. That really sucked. I bought a new one but once that one dried out it worked fine. It took about 3 days.

Damn, mine went for a swim in the pacific ocean and it still works. Take the battery out and let it dry for a day or so

yea take a hair dryer and take the phone apart and dry it out...My dad works for Cingular and thats what we always do and at least ull be able to get the numbers out of it after it dries. It usually works after that.

Damn, I drowned one of my old phones too. My little cousin decided to cross the damn rope in the swimming pool at a hotel and was goin under and couldn't make it back up so I jumped in to get him and forgot my phone was in my jeans pocket.

Manager at Sprint was cool as hell, let me upgrade to their newest phone (at the time) for the difference of my original purchase price when I told him what heppened. So I ended up with that Sanyo 5500 for like $70.

use a hair dryer... my mom dropped her phone in the sink and now it works since she used a hair dryer to dry it out.. and just in case it should dry it up so you can use the insurance cause they wont cover water damage....

that's why I love my Boost/Nextel Water Resistant....

open the phone up, open any data ports on it and place it on a window ledge, the sun (if its out) will heat up the unit and make the water/poopoo evaporate out of it. I know this works well cause I have went swimming with my phone in my pocket a few times (doh!)....

Yeah it was funny... He was actually picking up his phone to get my phone number because I might be moving in with them. I figured he could just tell people that he dropped his phone in his beer trying to get some girls phone # and it could be a good conversation starter, lol! I'm not sure if it's working yet though???
