Default Did a good deed for the day...

As reported in today's AJC Metro section, there are 2 girls that have been missing for about 3-4 months now. One of them was last seen on March 1 in Stone Mountain in the Lake Tree Apartments. Well, on the 21st of May, I was at Mama Mia's Pizza on Main St. in Stone Mountain. After we were done, my wife and I and another couple stood outside for about an hour. A little girl walked up and asked if we knew how to get to the nearest Marta train station and if we could take her. We told we couldn't help her and to ask the cop that was sitting in his car just about 3 buildings down. She told us that she didn't want any involvement with any cops. We thought, ok.

Well, it turns out that this girl is a run-away. I recognized her right away as the girl we saw that night. So, I called the police today as soon as I got home and they are supposed to call me back to get more information. I wished I could have done more then. Well, at least as of a month ago, we know she was still alive.

Hindsight, you know? I know I did the right thing by getting involved because if it were one of my kids, I'd want anyone to say that they saw them recently.

    Ok, I'm done. Later, QD.
