FYI....could possibly be just that the bulb has some dust on it........was talking to a guy in brandsmart the other day asking the necessity of needing the in house service/warranty package and he mentioned something similar. he stated that most people don't realize that the bulbs collect dust and when they're picture gets distorted they toss out the TV or replace it. he also stated that repair men will charge anywhere from several hundred to a thousand dollars to provide the service although it's a simple process. or even worse tell you it's unrepairable, you tell them to keep it and toss it; but he fixes it and sells it for huge profits.

you can get hifi buys to come to your house and serivce the "guns" and clean it up, it's not a bad price, I think they offer a service for 5 years clean once a year, and if you have probs they'll garuntee each one or some crap. I was gonna buy a big honkin' 60'' mitsu right when the prices dropped out on rear projector tvs, but went with a 41 inch toshiba instead. it was like an axtra 150-200 for the extended service plan I believe.

bump for a pretty good deal!!
