    well long story short a african guy came up to me at work and asked if i could help out a friend of his. he tells me he has a female friend that needs citizenship. and wanted to know if i would marry her for 6 months. and that she would pay me 3k up front and another 2k after the wedding. i said no but called some friends just to see what they would say. to me the money just isnt worth the police action or worse having to look for this random female after 6 months to get her to sign the divorce papers. wanted to know what ia would do if given the same question

    i know a couple of people who have done that for a bit more then 5k but that is commen with hispanics now a days specialy with all these new laws comming out so its nothing new

    lol @ 5k... is usually around 8 to 10 k. Africans always trying to rip people off..

    Now, if they are only saying 6 month then go ahead and do it for the 5 k.. they are idiots, In GA you need to be married atleast 2 years before all the papers can be finalized. I think after 6 month to a year you get a working permit or something..

    I wouldn't do it unless is someone that you know for a long time and that you know they ain't going to be a disgrace to this country. Getting married is not the problem you actually have to live and know the person to a point that it is like a real marriage. In the interview they will take you apart and ask you personal marital questions. You also need proof that you are really married like bank statements with both of you in the account, bills, house, etc.

    If you ever plan to help someone in that situation at least let it be someone who is going to be a benefit to this country and someone that is not going to screw you over the time. Remember that in a case of divorce we the men always lose.

    5k damn u should have hit dude in the mouth. that shit goes for atleast 10k and thats depending on how long u have known the person. about the interview most people dont even get an interview. but if they do interview u u better know ur shit. plus imagine if the female ended up being ugly as all hell then ur stuck married to an ugly ass chick for 5k. plus if u get caught ur in deep shit. not worth it unless u know the person well.

    If you really want to get married for the money, go ask a vietnamese family. My ex's aunt offered me $40k to go to vietnam and marry this girl and bring her to the states. Only down side is, the paper work may take up to a year or more.

    5K is nothing...Umm say no and find somebody else...I have a couple of friends that got married out of love and not for money and their husbands have yet to get their citizenship. One of the couples has been married for 10yrs....

    Be careful, make sure that the person already has the story set out...You guys are gonna need pictures and proof of a courtship...Better start emailing or something...Not to mention that for one of the interview processes one of my friends was asked how long they have known each other and even though they have been together for a while the guy thought it was suspicious that they couldnt agree on a date...So yeah....

    Dont do it!!! Especially not for 5K...Fuck that...

    its not for 6 months only. you would need to stay married for at least two years, cuz if you get divorced within 6 months they will come after both of you. and 5k is what the price range is today. my boss is a "paralegal" and does this so i have an idea of whats going on.
