Ive got a nice panasonic I bought about 2 months ago Ill trade ya. Mp3 wma remote. No scratches. Very clean. Bluish lights on it. (I bought it because of the color of the lights)

After buying two sony Xplod subs and having them, well....explode in less than a month, I lost faith in Sony car audio products. You didn't try out the deck in the store before you got it? My bro also has a sony deck, its also on its last leg. Alpine decks are pretty good for their price

well guys i guess everyone has there own opinion but im not talking about the cheap 150 dollar cd players im talking about the high end sony stuff with motorized face and stuff like that

i worked at bestbuy for a pretty good while in car audio and just sony car audio in general...i lost faith in all of it and won't sell it cuz we just had 2 many returns and exchanges...the biggest problem they had was either the motorized or the cd disc read error...alpine is a good brand but ive had the one ur getting and the one above it(9855) and there good cd players but to me pioneer has the most features, the easiest to work, and the best sound(cdplayer wise) alpine is more of though good quality made, hard to work the menu(esp for newbies)and the sound is good just not worth the trouble when u could get a pioneer and spend less time playing with the menu and more time listening to music...and at are store we carried alpine(paying more for quality and name), pioneer(kickass), kenwood(its ok had some cool features u can do on certain ones), sony(sucked), jvc(not bad i like the jump drive), dual(sucked...more show) and insigna(sucked)...but like they say everyone has opinions and GL

i also work at a stereo shop as a salesman but i have been an installer for 18 yrs and i never liked sony until about two yrs ago but they have came up alot in sound quality in that time i used to be an alpine fan but since they went to an eq i have not liked them at all but i got a good deal on this one so i decided to try it out and i just dont like it as much as my sony cdx-m9900 witch my wife now has and will not give up the main thing i dont like about the alpine is that you have to buy a seperate cord for the aux input so i can run my ipod but anyway i will take other trades aswell other than sony i just prefer sony thats all

sorry guys im not looking for wal mart type sony's im looking for the motorized face 350.00 type no offence but im not going to trade a 350.00 cd player for a 150.00 cd player and it does not have to be a sony i will look at other brands like pioneer and eclipse.

I have a Panasonic MXE CD-Q7413U, with variable color and customizeable graphic display. MP3 Ipod Ready, Motorized Face w/ tilt, remote detachable face its in almost new condition, I have a uncut panasonic harness too, with box and everything.

I've owned both sony's and alpine's, sony is much better compared to alpine, but it is overpriced compared to alpines. Depending on what model you get, quality is corresponding to the price. Same with alpine. Overall, the reason i choose sony is for more functions and unmatched design. Sony released a new cd deck with bluetooth capability. OOOhhh!!!!!!!!

im surprised you don't like the 9853. i think alpine makes the best HU in the market. try upgrading to 9833 or 9855? i love my 9855
