I think it looks good, but be prepared to buy a lot of tires because they are gonna wear out a whole lot faster

ahahahahahaaaaaa im j/p its not that low. its just a photoshop, but maybe in 2 weeks it will be..... i already have skunk 2 springs.... sits nice, rides smooth.... still debating on Coilovers
the Skunk2s said 2 1/2 in drop but after i got them on there and let them settle alittle..... this was all i got..........
GROUND CONTROLS (eibach) thats all i gotta say
cool thanks for the info....i'll look into it. but should i go lower or get a lip kit????? i want to keep it clean, no wild body kits or wings or anything..... i thought about a R34 kit, or a lip kit but i havnt been able to find a lip kit for an 04 EX.
once thats done im gonna go with Sparco seats and possible black out my tail lights.
spend money on good shocks. you'll thank me later
yeah i could use some new shocks..... i lowered it i think in october maybe september. so the shocks are about done for.Originally Posted by green91
will i need to compress the springs when removing the skunk 2s???? i was told with after market springs they are fully decompressed when you remove the housing.
probably wont be under much of a load but its possible. there is a ghetto (somewhat safe) way of taking them off without compressing the spring if youre interested. ive done it several times with stock springs safely. i also have spring compressors
i have compressors, its the cheap screw ones you get at autozone, i hated lowering my car, it was a bitch and a half.... but now that ive done it once, the 2nd time should be a prob, but yeah if there is a faster way of doing it than using the spring compressors then yeah im definatly interested
Are you refering to fire, really hot fire? If so, I think that's the most fun way of doing it.Originally Posted by green91

chris your car is ugly as crap also if you black out the taillights i will take a bat and smash them....as far as lip kit goes...definately...don't kit it man the thing already has factory bumpers with simulated lips just add on to what's there don't completely replace
Nah, fire + shock absorbers isnt a good idea you can usually just hold the shock with an allen key in the top and loosen the nut and the spring will release its pressure safely (just do this while its still installed in the car!!!!!)Originally Posted by Kermit
I think that much of a drop makes the 17s look even smaller than they are... LOL
Seriously though, dont drop it that much on 17s. Invest in a nice full coilover system and find the perfect drop for yourself. Not only will the ride be 100% better, handling be improved, but it will also allow you to adjust dampening and height. If you need any hookups on 7thgen stuff, lemme know, I got some connections still from when I had mine.

i at least want the tires to tuck 1/2 inch.
I will leave it the height it is now. Get some shocks before dropping it any more and more then likely you wont want to lower it anymore.
If you do lower it more go with the ground controls I loved them when I had my 7thgen. I also have some front & back strut tower bars if you need some.

$80 they are in great shape, I hardly drove the car. I think I still have the rear lower tie bar also. I never even used it, i'll throw it in also if I can find it.Originally Posted by Chris04EX

what he said, man. good advice right there. the ride is so shitty with a slammed car on springs. your lady will have to wear a sports bra when she rides in it.Originally Posted by Eli
