    Default Factory Crossover?

I have an '04 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Infinity system. I want to redo the whole thing but in pcs...
New head unit, then replace all of the factory speakers, then an amp for the highs, then subs...
I know that there is a crossover that makes the front door 6x9s only lows. My question is if I put full range speakers in place of these, do I have to rewire the truck to get full range to them, or is the x-over in the speaker? I want to get a new head unit too, but really don't feel like rewiring the whole thing... So if the xover is in the head unit cool, I'll lose it when I change toan Alpine....

    Anybody?

the x-0ver is most likely on the speaker itself. pull the speaker out and check it for a resistor on it. If it does have it then your good to just throw some full range in, If not, then the x-over settings will be in the head unit.

also it may depend on what the impendance is on the speakers...if its anything other than 4ohms you get to do an amp bypass...most infinity systems need them....i suggest a 4 channel
