Condition: the car runs good, i drive it to school, work, etc. in other words i drive it everywhere(my DD). but the car NEEDS AXLES (both left and right), the boots riped on both of the and the grease is coming out and the axles are clicking, but the car is mobile the condition has not become extreme to the point you cant move the car. like i said i drive the car even though the axles are clicking. new axles are 120 dollars new from your local advance auto.
EXTERIOR: the car has the original paint and now with 17 years of operation, obvisouly the paint is faded. and the car had its known rust by the wheel wells, i repaired it with hi-end products, 3M and BASF primer (i work at a body shop). the previous owner had a guy that tried to steal the car, and did not succede but it obtain damage to the drivers door. the person use some type of srew driver or a crow bar to pry the door handle (why? i dont have a clue, i guess the person did not have a clue to what the hell he was doing). the sheet metal was bent by the door handle and the lock on the door handle was destroyed. the door skin can be straighten out with the use of body shop hammers, dollies. but the door handle works, but you just cant lock it from the outside( you have to do it from the inside). also since this car was made in 1988 and the trim model is an Si, this car did not come with A/C nor P/S and the seat belts are mounted on the b pilar which makes this the lightest Si avaible( i weighed it at SDR with partly stripped rear interior and came out 1960 lbs).
INTERIOR: the interior is in fair condition, the georgia sun dried out the vinyl on the door panels, but i will include 4 1/2ft long by 3ft 1inch marine quality vinyl to recover the door panels. another known thing about the EF's is the climate control for breaking. this car has the same problem. since the car did not have a/c, i attempted to remove the climate control, but it fell apart in my hands. and that was a good thing for me, b/c i had planned to install gauges where the climate control was. no cracks in the dash! the sunroof works, and works very well.
this car is perfect for your ZC, B, H, K series swap. oh and if the car looks like a 4X4 to you, its b/c it has the stock springs. oh, i did run the car at SDR, the time came out 16.2@89mph, STOCK with out the mods you see above. if you need more pictures, just ask!
