    bought it probably a year ago or so used it to play xlink on my chipped xbox i just sold so i dont need it anymore

    originally paid about $70 for it i think, might have gotten it on sale around $60, cant remember, but you can pick it up now at CC or BB for about $50 so ill sell mine for $35 firm, will ship but price is + shipping

    If I hook this up to my laptop could i get better connections to other peoples servers?

    only if they're not encrypted.

    but even so the router won't work without a modem. you wouldn't be amplifying their signal or anything.

    +1...you can basically think of this as a splitter......kinda like splitting cable signal to multiple tv's this will split a internet connection to multiple devices (xbox, laptop, another pc, etc) and also turn it into a mini-network...like if you wanted to hook a printer up to multiple printers.....someone correct me if im wrong, i only used it to connect my xbox for xlink and for transferring info onto it from my comp
