Talking So i finally bought one.

Its a 2002 Jetta Black on Black 5 Speed 1.8T

I origionally went out looking for a GTI but after driving them i found my 6'4" ass fit better in the Jetta. plus.. it was cheaper The first modification i plan to do includes a vaccum and some windex. i bought the car late and the detail guys had already gone home.. he offered for me to come by and have it washed but i figured i can handle that.. so now i need a list of some good sites for jetta or VW people in general. I know this forum is dead and ill likely find them on my own by the time this thread is responded to.. none the less i figured i would let everyone know i added to the VW-IA community by one lol.

most of the parts r still in the lot. ihave access to it Monday, wed, thurs, friday. 8-3 latest. what i would need is for you do drive out therewith me and we can swap stock for aftermarket. i will have to tow the car out of the lot. but i can get basically anything i need as long as i put back in stock. this way i think i am doing good to the community by offering parts for hella cheap and also little in the pocket. if no action taken then chances are you will probably find it on ebay sometime for fairly high price. lemme know 6786568164

Thanks for the welcome guys!! Not exactly new to dubs, but definitely new to IA. I'm actually on my third dub. Been on the Vortex for a while. Well, I'm just looking for a few preliminary mods, exhaust and shocks/struts for right now. I actually have some springs (HR sports) in my trunk, but haven't had the money to get it done and I don't have the expertise to do it on my own. My wallet isn't that deep so I'm looking for some very good prices. I'd actually like to learn to do some stuff on my own, but just don't have the tools and the know how. Any help you guys can provide is greatly appreciated.

Dude, from what I have read, its a matter of preference. Both of those combos are really good. But I'd run a search on the vortex for more info.

i got the ghetto combo and i love it.
bilstein with nuespeed race springsin the front. Koni and nuespeed race in the back with 1/2 of stiffness. all nuespeed bars and it is nice.... hope this confuse you more... lol... yeah, it's all about pref. i did this combo b/c my buddy didn't like how koni rear felt so i just swapped bils't for it and it worked out for both of us. i can tell you that i like the ride quality of fk kit. it is alot smoother than what i have now but performance lacks a little on the fk's imo
