motorcycle insurance
hows it work in GA?
is it required, average cost for libility, does it matter if the bike is paid off....
bike: 01' honda 600f4i
im sorry if its a stupid question
-
It is required and it depends on your driving record as to the cost.

Your going to get so many different replies. It's best to take the 10 mins, call your insurance company, and get an accurate quote. There are too many variables:
bike
coverage
county you live in
age
driving record
how many cars you have insured already
etc

for a rough example i have a clean record, am a 20 year old male. my insurance for a 92 katana 600 was $800 a year, and a 2002 yzf 600 was $750 a year, both for liability and listing the use of the bike as recreation. it also depends on what insurance company you call, i've had the best experience with progresive
-
every insurance company has a different method of classification on bikes too, which will give you greatly varying answers from each company.
also, check with your lender to see if they require a certain level of coverage. every lender i know of requires full coverage on the bike until their lien is lifted (paid off), and of course the state requires liablilty coverage.

damn chuck you got ass raped!! I pay 320 a year for liability on a 98 gsxr 600, progressive owns! they are the best insurance rates ive found so far.....if you dont own your bike you are supposed to carry full coverage, age helps ALOT and so does the issue of carrying liability or full coverage. call progressive they are the best deal on motorcycle insurance
-
did you read my post or just that number??? that is the cheapest rate i could find after called nearly every company and I DO USE PROGRESSIVE...lol. but its just expensive because i had stuff on my driving record, i am 20...
and actually now that i think about it, i did get coverage against uninsured motorists, which was about 300 more a year.
