    Default This has been irritating me for a minute

    ok... so I was listening to the radio at work. House of the Rising Sun by The Animals came on. Great song.. freakin love it.

    My question: Why the FUCK do people call GEORGIA "The House of the Rising Sun" When the song QUITE clearly says it's New Orleans? On more than one occasion, I have heard GA referred to as the House of the Rising Sun, and dammit I wanna know why! No good reason for it! Is there a House of the Rising Sun franchise or something, and there's a branch in GA? Is the one in New Orleans that's being sung about not the original one? That's been bugging me. Any input? :jerkit:

    The sun DEF rises in GA before Louisiana, so uhhhh... thank you for thoroughly confusing me. Furthermore I have never heard NE1 call GA that.
