    Default Chappelle Show Cancelled.........

    NEW YORK - Production of the popular Comedy Central series "Chappelle's Show" has been suspended and its third season's premiere indefinitely delayed.

    Comedy Central issued a statement Wednesday, saying: "All parties are optimistic that production will resume in the near future."

    The season will not start May 31 as originally scheduled, the statement added.

    Neither Comedy Central publicist Tony Fox nor Dave Chappelle's spokesman, Matt Labov, would discuss what caused the halt in production or how long it might last.

    This unexpected turn deprives the network of one of its most valuable properties, a sketch-comedy series with a raw, satirical edge that became a critical and popular hit.

    Last summer Comedy Central signed Chappelle to a deal reportedly worth $50 million for a third and fourth season. The two-year agreement also allowed Chappelle to develop other programming for the cable channel and cut him in on DVD sales, a lucrative factor considering his series' first-season DVD sold more than 2 million copies.

    Last season the show was nominated for three Emmys, including outstanding comedy series.

    Yeah this definitely sucks, but I think the title should say Chappelle's Show Suspended cuz it isn't cancelled. And apparently it was originally supposed to start back in February but Dave had a bad flu and they got a late start on writing for it. I just got done looking at those articles too. Either way though, its still bad news.

    We finally get Family Guy back and we lose Chappelle....for now anyways.

    Dave Chapelle is the man. Dave Chapelle opened up to audience for those who normallyowuldnt watch comedy central. I watched Dave Chapelle back when he had his first comedy special on HBO. LOL, for those who remember when Joel used to be on here, I burned it on CD and we used to ride to car shows listening to it. Dave Chapelle changed the way people laugh. Landmark comedian. I hope this passes over soon, because there is tons of shit that just isnt funny

    Hell yeah man, 2nd season is gonna blow the sales of the first away IMO. Cuz Rick James and Wayne Brady were both season 2, and those were 2 of the very funniest to me. "I make Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X huh muthafucka?"
