Gateway Profile 5...pic..
I was wondering if it is easy on a profiile 5 as it is on a regular PC to upgrade the CDrom drive to like a DVDRW or something. I have never worked with one before and I am planning on purchasing a lower end one and just upgrading that sucker. I just want to change the CD drive out.
Anyone know?

its like the dell optiplex gx280 dvd/cdrw drive. a laptop version drive on a desktop.

So that means a regular drive wont fit in there.?

yeah.....they look like a laptop drive..but also custom designed for it too. look at the right corner of it, its curved to fit the shape of the case, the other side isnt.
its definitely a slimline type drive. $50 or less on newegg.com but id have to say it probably wouldnt fit right.
btw atif the LCD screen is the hottness
