I'll be taking my tranny apart soon to give it a nice little syncro touch up.

I was wondering if there was a 5th gear made that would benefit me in gas economy. I'm not looking to autocross anytime soon so not having a "pulling" fifth gear isn't going to hurt me.

Here it is... I know that an LS Integra runs right at 3k RPM at 80 MPH and my GSR runs 4k at the same speed.
Now, I also know that the final drives are probably different but would dropping an LS fifth gear in place of my GSR fifth be much of a benefit?

If so, how much?
