rolling bones over on edgewood is pretty damn good.
Daddy D's is real good. too. Put it this way...if it's in a shack, then it's prolly good BBQ.
Pig in the Pitt, new place in Milledgeville that is freaking awesome.

Fat Matts is good, but for the money you spend they chump you off on the portions! When you buy the baked beans, they put it in the same cup that you get your ketchup in at other restaurants. But its some of the best in GA. The chicken shack next to it is pretty good too

Tracy you arent even from here so you dont get to have an opinion on BBQ.
First BBQ in GA is Pork only. Period the end, no beef no chicken etc..
Second If it looks like somewhere you want to eat then it sucks,(indoor plumbing is questionable at best)
Third If they have enough seating for everyone then something is wrong.
Fourth The staff should look like people out of the movie deliverance
Now all that being said, There is this little hole in the wall place you dont even want to walk into in Dallas(ga) by the hospital, the place is the bomb.
There is also a little place off of Thorton Rd Just past all the car dealerships, fuckin awesome.
Wallace is good, Johnnys has gone down hill. Williamson Brothers ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME.
Champs on south cobb is pretty good and so is Old South on Wendy hill.
Oh and I swear by all that is holy if anyone says that chains name, I will come to your house and kick your ass.
Matt
P.S. Texas shut up your barbeque sucks.
In case anyone was offended by that last post, we can have an importatlanta BBQ tasting if we need to. I can show you transplants where all the good stuff is at.
P.S. Its not in Atlanta.
best place i ever had was Pete's Meat in marietta, although i have no clue if it's still there. had a sign up that said "you don't need teeth to eat pete's meat".
there was a hole in the wall in gainesville that i had one time, was great other than the fact that the coleslaw side was 10x bigger than the portion of meat they gave. for big named places i recently had famous dave's and it was pretty damn good, and i know that mr big baller won't agree but i still like me some sonny's all you can eat. corky's isn't bad either, just insanely priced.

i would like to say there is one thing missing from the equation here, brothers. im sorry. i dont mean to sound racist. but if there isnt a brother cooking the BBQ then it isnt as good as it could be.
