    my wife just shipped a package to a friend of ours in argentina... word of advice never send anything that is close to medicine (example: hand lotion, lipstick, makeup of any kind, food, etc..) customs can take full rights of your package and do w/ what they want which includes:

    1) charge 30-60% taxes on declared value of package
    2) keep the box and contents
    3) ship box back
    4) give the box to recipent

    NEVER LET YOUR WIFE SHIP AND PACKAGE W/ HAND LOTION
