    Exclamation 02-04 wrx ?'s

    hey i am new to the wrx world and i was told that the 02 and 03 's had tranny promblems and the 04's didnt. well i wanted to know what everyone thought and if anyone one could coment me back and let me know how relaible these cars are. thanks

    02's and 03's had weaker tranny internals. The transmission isnt glass like most people will say but it also wont hold up to serious drag-racing abuse.

    As long as you're not dropping the clutch all the time it should hold pretty well up to 300whp or so. If you're looking to go beyond that just get a used STI, it's a much cheaper route in the long-run.

    Mine either and I have done 5-7k drops at the track learning how to launch. but I don't do it all the time.
