    Default NEED HELP, Sound System

Hey guys, i have 2 12" subs witha 2400watt orbit amp, also 650 watt amp for mids and highs. 2fared cap, all tied to kenwood head unit. Problem is, turn on car, headunit boots up, sound to all speakers plays for like 30 secs, subs hit, then the head unit just shuts off, the amp lights are still on cap still read 13.1ish but head unit shuts off.... maybe i was something wired in head unit wrong, pretty sure subs and amps are right, anything come to the top of your heads? Thx for all the help guys.

well i think its the yellow wire ( its been a while since i actually looked at the words on teh wires) and its for memory, which basically keeps all your settings and shit stored, my homeboi had a short and it was in his memory wire which cause his cd player to stay on for a while and then cut off ( but his was within 5 minutes)

most of the time when your unit goes out and comes on its the battery not having enough power.

Sounds like the amp protection is cutting it off due to clipping.

haha wow everyone thinkgs differently. idk about the clipping idea. he said he head unit shuts off but amps are still on. i'd think somewhere in the wiring of the hu, but if the head unit goes off wouldn't the amp shut off b/c of the remote wire... this is a wierd one
No siggy as of right now

this is exactly what I was thinking. The problem with TS a problem over the internet is there are so many varibles.

how was the head unit wired in? with a harness or hard wired?
does it stay on if you turn the subs off or does it shut down anyways?
if you rev the car when the bass hits does it still turn off?
