    Default 240sx 1992 SE Emissions FAILED!

    shit i dont know guys

    NO is reading at - 2009 and it needs to be at like 945
    CO is reading at - .77 it needs to be .73

    any suggestions?


    Catalytic Converter is one thing i had in mind

    the car seems to need oil change and basically all in all tune up -- other than that i just dont know

    as far as mods

    NOx is ur egr valve. CO could prob be fixed with a good tune up and a new cat never hurts. There is also this stuff called "guaranteed to pass emmissions" at like advanced auto and that stuff works GREAT and its a coulpe bucks and is like a fuel treatment and if it still fails u get ur money back...thus guarenteed to pass lol but ur prob gonna have to do something with ur egr valve to get the NOx down. it might just mean cleaning the tubing or a new egr valve

    got the cat changed

    so how do i work on the EGR valve?

    or...what do i add to the fuel..to pass!!

    the cat should do it. when i installed my new cat my NO dropped by almost 500 points

    you could also do a sea foam cleaning then change your oil that should clean everything up also

    I would reccomend BG Products engine cleaner over GM Sea Foam garbage
