1990 elipse turbo

hey guys, i just got this car on sunday. after test driving it, everything went well. The car ran great and drove real fast. after test drive, i purchased the car and on the way home, it died. I cant get it to fire and it sounds like its not gettting fuel to it. I drove the car from stockbridge to lawrenceville (in almost 3 hours of traffic) and didnt have a problem with it until i got 10 minutes away from my house. As far as i can tell, its a fuel pump. It never ran hot or lost oil pressure. it just kinda died. Yes, i did just get it, but i need something by the end of this week so i can have a DD. I would love to keep it but due to me not having the money to get it towed to my mechanics shop, it would end up just sitting at my house. I dont have any current pics except for the ones that were on the last owners thread. My asking price is $1600 OBO. I will entertain any trades as well. I have the VIN upon request.

holly shit that looks like a lot of work needs to be done to the body. I pmed you back but after looking at all of the pictures I don't think I could do any more than 1000 at the most

the body is alot better in person. i thought the same before i got it and when i bought it, i planned on it looking really shitty but its actually not bad. just needs a little more time to work with it than i have.

I saw it. LOL, believe it or not i actually wanted it but it would drink too much gas for me. what kind of MPG you get out of it??

i had the same thing happen with a 90 eagle talon i got off IA, 10 minutes of drivin and the oil filter housing sprayed oil all over and the car died.i fixed it then the timing belt snapped 2 weeks later,i will never buy or trade for a dsm ever again.im sure you feel the same way

yours looks a million times better and is proably alot more simple to fix that mine was.good luck

thanks for the kind words man. Yeah im sure its an easy fix. When my EF died, it was main fuel relay and thats kinda the sound that this one is making

This car does have many new parts. I can tell you that. Everything that i can get to that the previous owner said was new, has checkd out to be new.

hey man, check the fuel lines on the fuel pump. I had a DSM once and the same thing happen to me. i was just driving down my GF driveway and it died. i had it towed to the shop and he told me that the Fuel lines just came off the pump. I dont know how but ya..... i just though i would throw that out there for you so you might could keep this as a DD.

It could be the ecu, my car was like that when I brought her. It would run fine then all in a sudden it would die and can't start. The capacitors(spl) on the board could be bad. Once I swapped it with my other ecu it ran well w/no problem. I have another ecu if you want to try. PM me!

ive checked all lines and what not. when you turn the car to 'on' position, you cant hear the fuel pump click...

checked all the fuses underhood. there werent any blown ones.

I have no idea and to tell you the truth, im actually leaning toward it being the ecu, but ive been told to listen for the fuel pump to click and it doesnt, so for whatever that means to anyone...i have no plans on touching the car until tuesday and someone can come get it for 1300 with everything left in the car.
