what is the size diff from a 205 50 16 and a 215 45 17 wich one is taller or are they the same somone told me they are the same highth

very tempting... the 55 series tires on my wheels are huge
205/50-16 let's see if i can confuse the hell out of you...20.5 (205mm = 20.5cm) divided by 2.54 (cm's in inch) = 8.07" (Width of tire) 8.07" x 50% = 4.035" (tire thickness). 16" wheel + 8.07" = 24.07" (outside diameter)
again, 215/45-17 = 21.5/2.54 = 8.46" + 17" = 25.46" OD
Basically 24" vs 25 1/2"...1-1/2"...is alot of differance.
there cheap and sold so it doesnt matter.
