Well the charge pipe, not so much the intake pipe.

    That car is a piece.

i really dislike this v8 in to rx7 craze.

i would never replace a rotory for some low compression and heavy 350.

    tsk tsk on that swap.

yeah hes got a nice anderson intake pipe but pvc for the discharge. It probably doesn't matter since thats a really old Paxton ball drive supercharger which doesn't make more then 7-8 psi. I remember years ago Mike Sitar ran mid 10s with a homebuilt twin turbo Capri and he had pvc believe it or not...it held up to 15 psi of NON INTERCOOLED boost. It just looks like total shit though.

fine, you stick with the beat up 12A in the 1st gen and i'll swap just about any stock V8 into the car and have a much faster, more reliable car

That red sixgun car at one of the drift events is what I'd do to an fb.

adam's car? pretty basic 13b-t swap in there, he has pretty good luck with them overall... but an LS1 would be more fun

i prefer the 13b-t change over the v8, my opinion.

I think the rx7's should be powered by the rotary engines but props for any effort, just not my style.

Actually, a 12A is much more reliable than any stock V8 that I know of. I've had several 12As that have made over 200K with no repairs other than an alternator or starter. I've had one that made 285K with no money into it. One guy that I know hit 300K - 2yrs ago. He drives the car daily, I still see him all the time, and his mechanic says that they still haven't had to do anything to it. A 13B-REW (FD) though tends too need a good bit more care. I do not know of one that has made over 150K without a rebuild.

A street-ported 12A can make 200rwhp reliably with the right carb setup, and a 82 only weights around 2100 lbs stock. Of course, it will never have the torque of a V8.

I've also had plenty of V8s. I have a 92 Mustang right now. I like both cars, but I personally wouldn't put a V8 in a RX7, or a rotary in a Mustang. That's just me though. There is a red FD with a stock LS1 in it locally. Sounds good, looks like it was made to be in there - just not for me. I'd rather have in in a Corvette or Camaro. I like them just as much.
