Better Track Prepped J30
I have been out of this for so long hah. I have spun rod bearings in 2 of my J30 motors and after finally getting a look at the oil pan of a 300zx, I can see why. The J30 pan is made different because of steering rack location. Well I guess Nissan did not think someone would actually get one of these cars on to a track, so they did not baffle the pan around the oil pickup. So I have been sucking up air while taking turns on the track, YAY!!! (lots of sarcasm). So for m 3rd motor I bought a Tomei universal trap door baffle kit that you custom fit to your pan.
I used to have an E30 vert that got totaled Dec 2012 and picked up an E28 535i that is my new daily, so the J30 project has been on going since August of 2012. Just working on it when I got time and money to blow on it. Mainly focusing on school now.
So here is the MOD list of what is done to the J30. It is not running still because still getting intake worked on and waiting to buy the front suspension needed. The rest of the car is completed though and it is ready to hit the roads after a serious alignment since I added the full line of SPL Parts adjustable control arms in the front and rear.
