    Default 05 gsxr 600 cam swapping????

    was on some forums but couldnt find any other info about this but ive been reading that u can swap the intake and exhaust cam around? is this true and does this produce any power gains??

    Intake cam is higher lift than exhaust cam, my guess is they did that for emissions purposes. I cant really imagine how reducing intake lift and raising exhaust lift would net a hp gain worth the time and effort, but i suppose it's possible. Considering both cams are identical with different lobes, the thing to do would be buy a replacement intake cam and put it on the exhaust side so that you have 2 intake cams. You could also buy 750 cams. Unless you know how to do this yourself, the cost will never justify the mod. For the price of paying someone to do this, you could probably upgrade your bike to a 750/1000.... and.... "there's no replacement for displacement"

    yea i was just wondering if this actually does something...but a 1k swap is in the future
