Default Do dirty cars bother you?

So i just met up with some dude and i was trying to buy a car from him.
I get there to take a look at the car and there is trash everywhere. The engine bay was filthy, the body was dusty and greasy and it looked like the car had never been washed. The interior was had trash and papers all over the floors and some sticky goo everywhere. It even has a bad smell to it.
It shows that dude that drove the car didn't take car of it and how can i trust that even regular maintenance has been performed if the dude can't even clean the car.
When there are the same models for sale for the same amount why would i buy that one?
It immediately turned me off from the car, i didn't even test drive, or make an offer. waste of time.

I was thinking the same thing. Whenever i have sold a car it was spotless. I clean up for other people better than i would clean it for myself.

Dirty ugly cars don't bother me. They are ugly anyways. Nice dirty cars bother me. It's like a fine chick with a nasty attitude.

If it's a car for SALE yes, it makes me mad to see it dirty. If it's just a regular car, who cares? I get a hard on for nice cars that are dirty though like Porsches, Ferraris, etc. Probably goes back to me loving the way a race car looks after an enduro, all abused.

I'm talking about cars for sale. I could care less how people treat their cars unless they are trying to sell it to me.
    That's why people lowball.

Dirty cars literally drive me fucking crazy! I've worked at a car wash and been detailing cars 7 days a week for the past two years. So, with how much I del with it my perspective would be different than most others. As far as purchasing a dirty car I'm 50/50 because all I will do is clean the shit out of it anyway lol.

I use to detail cars, dirty as in not frequently washing never bothered me, leaving trash, spilled drinks, etc. Now that is nasty.

It baffles me how people can drive around in something like that. We had a woman bring by her van today to be serviced and when I got in it, it literally looked like she brought her entire kitchen with her. It smelled liked rotten trash in it.

Working at a body shop, it definitely makes a difference. And your car will get treated differently according to how we see you take care of it. If you bring in a '98 Escort (and it doesn't total) and you kept it really nice, it'll get treated like a new Corvette. You bring in a beat ass, nasty C6 Corvette, and we'll treat it like a '98 Escort.

I try to keep my cars clean as possible. Even keep the fiance's car and truck pretty damn clean for her. Not that I like cleaning, just that I like a clean, nice car.

I just got done(just now) doing an oil change, applying tire dressing, applying armor all to the interior, and cleaned the windows. I try to keep my car looking nice inside and out!

I'd never buy a car from anyone who obviously did not maintain their car.

Go to seller of dirty car.
Lowball the shit out of it. i.e. if he asks 4000, offer him 2000 or 1500. Point out 'dirty' spots, stains etc
Buy car and detail the heck out of it. Polish, shine, interior cleanup, steam clean etc.
Turn around and flip the car for 4000
    ???????
    =Profit.
I got free clear tails with my ride.....

90% of the time, this guy doesn't see how filthy his life is and will tell you that none of that matters. He will think you are a cheap ass and wont sell you the car. Sad but true.

I keep the inside of my 94 civic showroom clean, the exterior...well, its got the honda faded paint syndrome so it just gets the the self wash brush
