Default 1996 Civic Coupe *SLOW BUILD*

    I drive a 1996 Civic DX coupe.

    Current mods:
    -Short shifter with Blox knob
    -DDM Hids
    -Drag Dr20s (gold 16")
    -50/50 tails
    -Ex/Si spoiler

Started like this (day I bought it)

First mods were 16" rota slips, and a Si spoiler.

    Then some 50/50 tails

Then I traded my slips for 16" dr20s

    Next mods are as follows:
-Function Form Type 1 full coilovers (will be here on Wed)
-b18c1 (most likely) swap in June
-Window tint (it needs it bad)
-Fix exterior problems (hood, front bumper, headlights, paint)

Lol you have a very strange opinion. I'm sure no1 else agrees that the konigs looked better than dr20s.

It seems that you're degenerating in the wheels department to the point where you've come full circle. You went from ugly to GREAT to not bad and back to ugly. Those polished wheels were, by far, the best of the bunch.

And personally, I'd remove the rear window's tint and leave them untinted. Good luck with your ride, though. Later, QD.

If I liked the slips, I would have kept them. And I'm going to tint all the windows. I don't know how you guys can drive with NO tint it drives me insane.

You're posting this on a public forum. If you can't handle dislikes, then maybe you shouldn't post.

As far as driving without tint, it's easy. There's no direct correlation between driving techniques with and without tint. You still accelerate with the right pedal and stop with the middle or left pedal depending on transmission type. Later, QD.

Slowly gather turbo parts. You can make 200-250whp pretty easliy and not spend much.

All I said was if I liked them I would have kept them... And I didn't say that I didn't know how to drive without tint. I just don't want to...

Sorry ill just start doing all the things you say to MY car. I encourage ideas and criticism. If you don't like the wheels that's fine, but I do.

You didn't even say that. It's kind of obvious you didn't like them because you got rid of them. I simply gave my opinion. Being a smart
    ass in return was unnecessary.

Well cease with the BS when someone voices their own opinion, then. I was neither rude nor disrespectful (I could have stated what I really thought, but wanted to show respect) in my initial reply and you took it to this point. I'm not here to add to the clutter, but you kind of initiated it. Later, QD.

Haha I noticed and they're just wheels guys. 15 and 16" wheels aren't exactly expensive (I realize there are 15 and 16" wheels that are) if I don't like them I'll just change them. But I like the way they look and I've had NOBODY that's seen the car/wheels in person say I shoulda kept the slips

Because you posted this build thread not giving a fk what people think. Props to you.

I was going to throw a turbo setup on my daily driver EG, but I'm leaving town soon so figured it probably was an overly impulsive idea.

I recently bought a cast iron D-series turbo manifold and also a T3/t4 Turbo (ebay type), It's yours if you want to have fun with the D-series before you drop in the swap.

Nah I don't think he does. You initiated the crapflood with this post:

He was simply saying he disagreed with your opinion, where you deemed he "can't handle dislikes". I thought he took the criticism well? It's awesome to be opinionated, but at what point are you just hating or trying to "win"? You put your opinion in- cool, he replied to that- cool... Why did you come back in to attack him? I mean that stuff is cool and fair game in Off-Topic, but can brush new members the wrong way.

No disrespect intended, just stating my opinion on you guys' opinions [/lulz]
    Any opinions on my opinion?

Good luck with your build, DontHate. People will disagree with you, but you do you.

I see that he initiated it in his post before my reply that you quoted.

I even sent the dude a PM offering to clean up the thread. Guess he doesn't mind this "crapfest."

Some people just don't get it so I'll bow out. It's whatever. Later, QD.

I'd rather see any wheels but the DR20s lol. I do like the 99-00 tails though, they look really good. I need to grab a set for my car actually LOL.

I got mine off eBay, they're knock offs. They had a small fitment issue when I got them, just FYI.

Not bad looking. Are you keeping your 96 front end or getting the 99-00.

I wanted to swap my front end at first too, but the 96-98 really grows on you. Plus changing out the grill and adding a lip really helps it out a lot.

Thanks for the tip on the aftermarket tails, i'll probably watch out for a set of used OEM lights.
