They dont have shit, after i tell my customer to buy the EMS from them basically they told me i need to do a base map from scratch to start the car, and that pissed off my customer cuz now he has to pay a tunner to do so and what's supposed to be a cheap EMS is going up to about $1800 if i knew that beforehand i will tell him to buy a haltech or a microtech and the car would be running months ago!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTbrupBKxpo <<The dude who posted that vid was active last month so he's still around, Might be worth it to shoot him a message, maybe he's down to send over his .msq file

Maybe you can just get it to idle since you're doing a fuel only setup using this http://www.ajdesigner.com/phpengine/...efficiency.php (assuming that's the case since you're using stock dizzy setup)

Here's some info that someone posted about a naturally aspirated 2J motor, I assume it shouldn't be too different, though I know the GTE head flows better: http://thedeltaecho.wordpress.com/20...ic-efficiency/ Should at least be enough info to get it started.

Does the car have a wideband o2 sensor? You can probably just tinker with it once you get it to idle until it's good enough to call a "basemap"- haha. Probably not a good idea if you're breaking in the motor though- I've heard, it's arguable though.

    Hello Dragoncelica,

We don't have a complete tune (as in something we've run on a dyno and gotten completely dialed in, and can personally vouch for) for one of these, but I can go over individual settings. (Was this the 2JZ being run on alcohol, BTW? I seem to recall it was a bit of an unusual build.) The pre-VVT 2JZs used a fairly common trigger setup used on a lot of Toyota and Mazda applications, described here in the manual:

    http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms3/trigg...el.html#nippon

The exact setting for the #1 tooth angle can depend on how the distributor is installed, but the link I've sent gives a procedure for how to adjust it. You'll need to use a timing light to make the final adjustments.

Generally, an MS3 with the normal base map would need these things set up:

    - Ignition
    - Number of cylinders
    - Injector size and engine displacement (Required Fuel)
    - Idle valve type

Once these have been set, it should be FAIRLY close to starting up on the off the shelf settings. It probably won't run great and will need its fuel and ignition tables tuned to match what the engines should need, but setting these will get you close.
