I need a new water pump and timing belt on my 91 turbo mr2 if anyone knows a good place. I called up the dealership, they wanted $864 total. 610 of it was in labor. if anyone knows a better place I would really appreciate it.

yo thanks for hijacking my thread ho. but its ok, i have a few mechanics, but each one one is use for a certain purpose. ROCKDALE IMPORTS DO A GOOD JOB on thoses kind of things, but i wouldn't have him put a clutch in. he only deals with oem stuff, dont have him do anything performance. he did a lot of work for me and he is good. but i want have him touch my clutch. he is a older guy, he backs up his work. 770-922-0067 his name is harold tell him julian with the red mr2 sent u

I agree that Joe Vick is good with MR2s. Since I met him that has been all that he works on. Good guy regardless.

the dealer will give you a price on a new longblock more than likely. generally toyota dealers do very good service and back up their work.. its usually worth the difference in cost.

well i dont need a new block,im so happy. just have to replace crankshaft bearings and ill be good to go. i might have some cash left over to mod my baby. matience has eaten up all my money and hasn't left anything for modding.

i really dont trust shops at all, i only let ppl who own a small garage work on my car. i went to a toyota dealership back in august to get a tune up. these dumpass said they couldnt find my motor, just wow. and performance shops i dont have faith in, i really just dont trust anybody. see with a small shop i can talk to the owner
