I mean, you really are. The most important court case in any of our lifetimes, maybe the most important since Miranda, is in front of the SC for oral arguments and not a single thread or mention?

I mean really people. You really do suck at this.

BTW, even MSNBC reporters are saying that the Obamacare is in trouble.

    http://nbcpolitics.msnbc.msn.com/_ne...h-care-mandate

There are a few .wav's in the article (again from MSNBC to remove all traces of bias) and I have to say, the guy the govt has arguing the case for them should just start packing his desk up. He will be fired by Monday for screwing this up. He doesnt even know if it is a tax or a fine.

This is how I know you are a right wing gun toting, bible thumping racist. Everyone with a brain knows the govt only employs the best and brightest minds in the country. That is how they know what is best for us.

im surprised with all the preparation work they had, he couldnt answer simple questions. I tend to agree with what Dana Perino said, all the arguments they used to pass the bill , they are not using those arguments to the supreme court, mainly because the supreme court is made up of the smartest people we know, they arent easy to fool or lie to

They may indeed be smart, but sometimes smart people can lack common-sense. Anyway, the way I see it... The Supreme Court is no longer about sticking to the Constitution, but is more about politics and has been for years. What scares me is (I believe) most of the justices have already made up their minds on which side of this argument they fall before it even started, and literally one of the most important Constitutional cases the Supreme Court has seen in a while will fall into the hands of one or two justices.

He definitely did, but I see a lot of people already calling it as good as gone. I caught a few minutes of Hannity (which gets on my nerves most of the time) and listening to him you would have thought they had already handed down the ruling and struck down the mandate, don't count your chickens before they're hatched. There's still the issue of severability being heard today, and we still won't get a ruling until summer. What kills me about this whole thing is that most people haven't got the slightest clue as to why this is being heard by SCOTUS, it's not about people having healthcare or insurance, it's all about whether the gov't can force you to purchase something, and the slippery slope that leads to.

This is pretty black and white to me.

We shouldn't have to be forced to have healthcare, although I think it is pretty stupid not to have medical/dental/life insurance and a 401K. But it should not be enforced by the federal government.

But then again, we shouldn't be forced to pay for Medicare, Medicaid, and social security either, but we do....I would be much better off if I could take the money that comes out of my check as FICA1, FICA2, and SS to put that into my 401K but instead I'm paying into a self imploding system of which Ill see no return or reward. Such is life I suppose...

I think most of us are still tired from the debate the first time around. There isn't really much new to say at this point that hasn't been discussed already. Plus, these are just the opening oral arguments, still months away from any decision. I guess we can debate what is the next step if part or all of it gets struck down.

I agree we dont have a huge amount to talk about as far as the SC goes. The only thing that really matters right now is Justice Kennedy's vote. Right now the Justices know how the vote is going to go, they are now searching for a way to justify their opinion.

The only real news lately is the fact that it is going to be more than double the price that Dems said it would be and cover far less people than they claimed.

I would of rather seen the Supreme Court vs Obama on the NDAA bullshit. Oh, and yes Jimmy, you were right.

Its not about being right or wrong as this bill have a negative effect on everyone living in this country.

As far as the price goes, that was simple common sense. You cannot expect insurers to add all these new benefits and not charge more. At the same time, you cant believe ANY govt run program will come in at anything less than 200% of the cost they claim.

I was referring to Obama in general. I voted for a good reason, but he's doing more than even Bush has, washing our Constitution away. As for this actual topic and link, I can't seem to read from work.

Think about this though. You voted for a guy that said he wanted to fundamentally change America. He sat in the pews of a Church where the Pastor openly damns America and our way of life. He started his political career in the home of self proclaimed terrorists and communists. His fatherly influences growing up were avowed communists. He said in his own books that he was always drawn to communist groups while in college.

What did you really expect from him? Too many people looked at his race and/or his party and made their decision based only off that information. They never bothered to actually look at what he wanted to do or what he stood for.

I could careless about this color, that didn't woo me into voting for him. He hasn't done anything "right" in my eyes, excluding the economy. When I heard of the NDAA and how it actually passed, ruined everything for me and my vote. I don't look that deep into it, but there are quite a few things I wish, we as a people would fix ourselves. The principle for why I voted for him failed to show light, he's just sneaking around like all the others. Again, I'm excluding lots, but the NDAA (PARTICULARLY THIS FUKIN ACT), Gitmo failing to close, SOPA/PIPA; failing to repeal the Bush Tax cuts and the Patriot Act.

NDAA had to pass or soldiers wouldn't get paid. Blame sneaky legislators for putting the indefinite detention pork in the bill. Obama tried to close Gitmo and Republicans blocked it. SOPA/PIPA failed. Not seeing the problem here. Dunno what BanginJimmy was saying about communism, but it doesn't exist in the US, nor is Obama a communist.

Yea SOPA/PIPA died, now CISPA is up, with a new attachment. It's the fact that the bill(s) even came to exist.

Rick Santorum sits in the pews of a church that says science is wrong if it conflicts with your religious beliefs, it also says that birth control should be illegal and that youll go to hell if you get an abortion. So does Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Obviously much more dangerous information. The difference between the three is that whats said in Obamas FORMER church stays in the church and doesnt have an affect on his governing.

Obama has been in office more than three years now. Why do we need to argue about people in his past and what influence they may or may not have had when we have 3 years of actual policy as evidence for his intentions and his ability to acheive them?

None of these are valid as they also apply to Obama. The difference is that none of the GOP's Pastors said god damn America.

Do a little research on Robert Ayers and Bernadine Dorn. Both were members of the Weather Underground and both are domestic terrorists. You will also find that they are committed communists.

They might not say "god damn America" (which in context was spot on), but they preach the bible which says "god damn you"

Just the fact that they all openly said they govern with the help of their God.

    Bill Ayers, not Robert Ayers.

Judging by this comment you didnt do any research on them though or you would have noticed my mistake.

Ayers helped form the Weather Underground. More on the wiki article

The Ayers, Obama Connection? Obama started his run for state senate and held his first fund raiser at Ayers' house.
