    I need to replace the manual transmission in my 96 prelude...what other year/models would work?

    I'm pretty sure any H or F series manual transmission will work. Which should be any late 80s to early 00s Accord or Prelude.

    F/H Series transmissions are all interchangeable.

    Majortiy of the gear ratios are as follows:

    H = Shorter Gears
    F = Long Gears

    all H and F series transmissions are interchangeable with each other. all use the same clutch, flywheel, axles, mounts, starters and sensors.

    just be sure to keep auto to auto and manual to manual as those are NOT interchangeable. hope this helps clarify this and all other questions relating to this.
