Agreed. I'll be expecting a thread or two in the TECH section pretty soon. At least it seems an even trade. Going from a Civic to a 140 is neither an upgrade nor a downgrade, lolol. Later, QD.

probably I was just wanting to get out of the gokart feeling and get into rwd... IMO the 240 has more power potential

Good trade depending on the condition of the s14 just don't try being a drifter and grab a curb.

Why would you swap an SR when the KA is already boosted? I haven't been impressed by many SR's.

Was the guy you traded from the marietta area?

Can I take that offer? A ride in two SR-powered 240s in a week will be a record for me.

lol, you may be the exception. I know alot of the southside guys know Darren. White S13, ridiculously crazy guy.

Anyways, he's the reason I don't like SR's i think. He always talked shit about how he'd walk all over my car when he SR swapped. So after a year or so, he finally did. We get a pull leaving Summit on 75. From a 40 roll, It was like he was standing still. And I was only running like 12psi then. So about 250whp.

????????? maybe because the civic had no exhaust, untuned, etc but it was FULLY built with like 50 miles... and the s14 had R32 brake calipers, better body all around, boosted, exhaust, drilled and slotted rotors, widebody, etc...

sr has wayyyyy more potential... also the KA is untuned I was quoted 650 to tune it and why go through that when I can spend 1600 for a complete SR

Dont know about "power potential" on a KA-T. Good trade but i would of kept the honda, that 240 will be breaking down soon

Everyone has their own opinions but from experience KA-T can push out more than the 2.0SR

Maybe in torque, SR's are proven to do 500hp on stock internals; ka-t will just blow up unless it is built

edit: ka-t will do 300hp reliably on stock internals

Too true. I ordered mine from eGay and they sent me a civic engine - i swapped it in anyways and the car is megasooperjdmquikomgz.

All kidding aside, i love my SR. It turned my 240 into a completely different car for the better.

sr20 is an amazing engine. people only talk bad about it because its common and popular. The "cool kids" hate popular things.

Saw you at cheddar's tonight, rolled over that way to get some food. Stopped in the parking lot and took a glance at ur wheels. Looks good, your stance is on point. Lot of Nissans were out in columbus tonight, pulled out of cheddar's and saw a GTR, then rolled down to the gas station and there were 3 240s sitting in the lot. Was hoping the GTR would come out to the highway but he didnt.

SR20 is a better high end engine than a KA. People think KAs are better because they can reach their street car goals with a KA the same as the SR20 people can, but the sr20 does it smoothly and reliable unlike the KA. If i were building a drag car, i wouldnt mind a KA. All other forms of racing, sr20 is a better engine and has higher top end potential.

im saying chassis overall. SR is going in meaning I can push 400whp bone stock motor itself. try doing that in a gsr without sleeving... and doing forged bottom end, etc... and at the end its still FWD (spin like a B****)

not true. maybe low end torque

Well, I sincerely appreciate the compliment bro - but lets not play any games here, your 240 is clearly one of the nicest in town. And it sucks that the first time (I think) you've got an up close view of my car just happens to be the dirtiest it's ever been. I feel ashamed.

At any rate, stop being a stranger - all the 240 guys in town would love to meet you - they about fell out of their chairs when you passed Starbucks, it was funny.

The link to the blacktop sr that nelson posted is 1700, shipping is 216$ to ga, it is without wiring or ecu, so that is another 200-300....2100-2200 is your price

Although, the S13 SR they have is a good deal for 1300(+200 s/h) with transmission.
