Default Pick now, last chance to get on the wagon.

I posted this picture last season before Tebow was even the starter and everyone laughed at me. Now here we stand..... Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are traveling to Denver to face the Broncos who are on a 6 game winning streak. This is gonna be the highest TV ratings for an NFL season game in probably the last decade.

All season the skeptics have said.... "when they beat ________ i'll believe" "they will never beat __________" "they wont do that vs _________"

well..... the time is now. "_________" is the next team Tebow will play.

Wagon is leaving the station, this is your last chance to jump on.

Make your predictions now!!!! Broncos vs Patriots! Tebow vs Brady!

My prediction - Tebow will have his best passing game to date in a shoot out with the Patriots. Denver wins 31-28.

Figured you have them winning by 3 points.. A field goal.. Lmao..

    Pats 32
    Broncos 24

It will be a great game.. Even though NE's defense is not there.. They have a better offense hands down..

Even though the broncos will get smoked, Tebow will have a good offensive game against NE, just not enough to win.

What Tebow said to Demarius Thomas after the touchdown drop in the 1st half

"its ok, you're gonna catch the game winner"

If this were a movie, we'd all walk out because it was too unrealistic.

This whole man crush thing has gotten to the point of stalking. Tell me the truth, how any times did you jerk it to your Tebow pics today?

Btw, Tebow is still not the reason 5 of the 7 games were won. The gear were won despite the lack of offense. That goes to the way the defense is playing.

you're starting to sound mad now. Just admit you were wrong and we can move on and be friends. You usually sound like a reasonably intelligent guy, now you're starting to sound like an angry 5th grader.

Critics have been backed into a corner now. Hard to continue believing youre right when the results continue to slap you in the face. Time to just tuck tail, admit youre wrong and let it go. Taking the low road like Jimmy just shows your frustration.

The critics are right, despite the outcome of the games. It really isnt Tebow doing it. The Broncos are winning despite the complete lack of offense and scoring. The only thing Tebow is doing well is not turning the ball over. How else can you explain a winning streak despite scoring less points than you were while on a losing streak? Tebow isnt turning the ball over and putting the defense in bad positions. The defensive side of the ball is really where these games are being won. Broncos are letting up more than a TD less than they were before Tebow got on the field. Those 7 points are the difference in every single one of the Broncos wins.

Edit: I realize how easy it is to look at Tebow and say he is the reason because this streak started with him making plays vs Miami. Tebow plays a huge part in the fact that he doesnt turn the ball over often and he does make plays when his back is against the wall. The ONLY reason he has a chance to make those plays though is because the defense is playing with the best defenses in the NFL right now. The Bears had 2 chances to put that game away last night and failed both times. The first one Barber ran out of bounds instead of just falling down and keeping the clock moving. If he falls down, Broncos get the ball back with about 20 seconds left, not a minute. If Barber doesnt fumble the ball, Bears have a shot at the game winning FG. The real hero for the Broncos should be Prater. He has been outstanding this season. Last night alone he had 2 very high pressure 50+ yard FG's. One to tie, one to win.

Jimmy is right. Tebow just doesn't seem to be improving. He seems to be maintaining and because the Broncs are winning, Tebow fans are getting false positives on the dude. But, and I know Tebow fans don't like to hear this, I'm still waiting on a game where the Broncos will face a formidable team. Next week will see a Bronco loss as I don't see them having a chance against the Patriots. Since the Raiders have collapsed and the Broncos are now in first place, Denver may make the playoffs. The rest of the schedules for both Oakland and Denver don't really show a "clear" favorite. I see both teams losing next week (Oakland plays Detroit) and coupled with the Denver loss to New England, the Raiders will still be a game out with two games to go. But if Denver does make it, they will pull an Atlanta move and get knocked out in the first round. They'll have their hands full with the likes of Baltimore, Pittsburgh New England, Houston and possibly the Jets. Playing the Jets in their first game will be the Broncos only chance at going past the first round.

My opinions, of course. Later, QD.

Well said there. I'll take Brady and the Pats for the win, don't think the Broncos can squeak this one out.

Also, can we just get one damn Tebow thread and be done with it? Do we really need a new thread every single week to discuss the same thing?

18/24 191 yards isnt improvement... he threw the ball 40 times............... vs the bears. Only a blind person would make the statement you're making.

I've been riding the Brady/Gronk train all year in fantasy. I'm pulling for Tebow, I really am, and while I do think he'll have a monster game against the Pat's offense, I just don't see Denver coming away from this with a win.

TEBOW GOES 18/24 191 YARDS IN 1 QUARTER TO BEAT THE BEARS AND YOU SAY ITS NOT TEBOW DOING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! proof that nothing Tebow could ever do would make you stubborn haters retract from your arguments.

Tom Brady - "Everyone says he struggles throwing the ball. What I saw last night, he had no problems throwing the ball," "He threw the ball extremely well when I was watching."

As for not being the quarterback that everyone will be talking about this week, Brady said, "That's OK. Believe me, there is great reason. They're winning a ton of games and he's playing very well."

Breaking news!!!!! QD and Jimmy did not see improvement from Tebow this week. Some guy named Tom did.

Yeah, I was proud of that Gronk pick. I skipped 4 or so other TEs that were predicted to be better this year to grab him. It worked out very well for me

    QD, Jimmy.....

You're both wrong, youre both just too stubborn to accept the stats and results that are right in front of your face. Tebow went 18/24 191 yards in the 4th quarter alone to beat the bears. He spiked the ball twice and threw it away once. So, 18/21.... thats nearly perfect.

Also..... Thomas dropped a touchdown pass that a junior high school kid could have caught in the 1st, and prater had a FG blocked... its a much different game if the pathetic bears offense is trying to come back from 10-0 rather than being up 10-0.

I dont care how much you two wrong people support each other... you're clearly wrong. You can argue with me until you're blue in the face, but you cant argue with the scoreboard.

    7-1. that is all.

I'm willing to bet, though i must say id have no shame at all sporting a Tom Brady jersey.

If i win, you change your sig to the worst picture of Tom Brady i can find, if you win, ill sport the Tebow crying after the bama game picture.

55 aint happening..... i dont think its even possible to get that many possessions vs the broncos.

here's your new sig if i win.

Holy fuck man, he'd probably play even better if you weren't swinging from his nuts so damn hard. Seriously, we get it, you're a hardcore Tebow fan. He's not a bad QB and he has a lot of potential to grow and become great, but as of right now his team is eeking out wins by the skin of their teeth. Give him a couple of seasons to grow into a pro QB position with his team and he will get the respect, but damn, quit pushing it so damn hard.

it's an interesting game.... without question, the patriots offense is better.... obviously... its tom fucking brady.....

But......... Patriots defense cant stop a nose bleed. Could be a break out performance for Tebow's unconventional offense.

I'll take the sig bet as well. I don't see Tebow being able to pull it out against the Pats. I am a hardcore Steeler fan BTW. So maybe you can find some sort of Ben is a rapist blah blah blah sig for me if I lose the bet.

    Some food for thought......

NFL season passing record is 5,084 yards. To break this record you would need an avg of 79 yards per quarter.
NFL single game passing record is 554 yards. To break this record you would need an avg of 138 yards per quarter.
Drew Brees leads the league in passing yards, avging 336 yards a game, avging 84 yards per quarter.

Tebow threw for 161 yards in the 4th quarter alone vs a top 5 defense and a team a still trying to win the game. Not a blowout, no 99 yard break out pass. 18/24 marching down the field. The record for pass attempts in the 1st quarter is only 25 (1st only because i couldnt locate the records for other quarters.

4 QBs ( Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees ) have passed the 4000 yard passing mark this season. Only 1 of them has more passing yards than Tebow in the 4 quarter. (Tebow has 5 less starts )

Tebow led the league in 4th quarter passing yards until Mannings game this weekend. He also has the 2nd highest 4th quarter QB rating behind only Aaron Rodgers.

This is why i keep asking "critics" to actually give me a stat line and they keep refusing. For QD and Jimmy to say they dont see improvement or see Tebow doing anything when he has a BEYOND BRADY, BEYOND RODGERS, BEYOND BREES...........(im not saying Tebow is even in the ballpark with these guys, but 4th quarter vs the bears he was).... one of the best 4th quarter stat lines in the history of the NFL...... is a slap in the face. Dont call yourself a critic. Dont call yourself a skeptic. Dont sugar coat your blasphemy by attaching a disclaimer "i hope he does well". You are what you are. Haters.

I ask you to humor me with a stat line that would be acceptable. Obviously, since 18/24 191 yards to lead a comeback vs the Bears is not impressive, I'm going to assume you expect somewhere around 45/63 for 660 yards vs the Patriots to be worthy in the eyes of QD or Jimmy.

Matt Ryan has thrown for less than 200 yards 3 times this season in a full game. (195, 167, 165) QD loves Ryan. Unimpressed by Tebow's 191 in 4th qrt+
Phillip Rivers threw for 188 total passing yards vs Denver. Jimmy is a chargers fan. He also, unimpressed by Tebow's 191 in 4th qrt+

In Matt Ryans 1st season as a starter, he threw for less than 200 7 times. twice he threw for less than 210. Tebow does that in a quarter.... vs the bears defense... no big deal.
Matt Ryans 2nd season as a starter, he threw for less than 200 6 times. less than 230 4 times.
Matt Ryans 3rd season, threw for less than 200 4 times. (205 once)

Hater is the only way i can spin it for you guys. i'm starting to wonder if you guys even watch the games, or if you just read Merril Hoge's blog and then come in here and argue with me for kicks.

So we should ignore the first 3 quarters and only pay attention to 4th quarter stats?

How about this, full game stats, not just 4th quarter.

    Tebow's QBR is #14 at 83.9
Completion percentage is last among starters at 48.5
    Yards per attempt, #27

    These are not good.

    THIS.

To really judge him you have to look at his entire body of work. Teams want consistency, they want accuracy, they want something they can count on.

I think Tebow is improving, i think he has earned his spot next year, i think hes doing something amazing in terms of showing his heart, his winning attitude and he IS GETTING THE JOB DONE.

But.....................................1 quarter of play cannot outshine 3 quarters of abysmal play week in and week out. He needs to show he can play just as well in quarter 1 as quarter 4, because if he plays a team that has a REAL OFFENSE (steelers, pats, saints, falcons occasionally) no 4th quarter heroics will bring him back from a 21-42 pt deficit.

The broncos defense is playing well, Tebow is getting it done when it needs to be done, but even you have to admit he needs to show improvement in the other quarters right?

Im not hating at all, i like tebow, i backed off my criticism of him because i think hes proving he can win, he beat a GOOD bears defense and the Jets.

But this weekend will show if their defense can control brady, if they cant, Tebow is going to have to score to have a chance

99 times out of 100 i would fully agree with this. but these arent your typical "he plays better in the 2nd half". This Tebow run has been one of the most bizarre/amazing/unbelievable/crazy/wild/heroic ect streaks in history. Myself.... and most people... are simply too inlove with the results to pay attention to the negatives.

point taken, these arent normal come from behind drives, these are much more than that. But i think a little more consistency would be the next step for him

I agree..... but you choose to focus on the first 3 quarters and ignore the 4th, even when the 4ths are border line amazing and continue to win the games.

The simple answer to the simple question of which half of the game should carry more weight.... the 2nd half obviously, since the result is a W.

Also, you got to place some blame on the play calling. John Fox is ULTRA conservative. Most of Tebow's pass attempts in the 1st half are after a run run run punt run run 3rd and long, run run 3rd and long. I'd love to see a statistical break down of Tebow's passer rating when throwing on 1st down. Receivers havnt been doing him any favors in recent weeks either. Beginning of the season, Tebow looked pretty bad in 1st halves, lately... theres been a lot of places to place blame on slow starts.

Even if i agree with you that Tebow looks bad in 1st halves, it doesnt erase that he's starting to look like Tom Brady in 2nd halves. The question you should be asking is "what happens when he plays that good the entire game?" rather than choosing to focus on the poor starts.

When you win every game... that should erase some criticism. These last 2 games Tebow has won with his arm. Defense was terrible vs Vikings. running game was nonexistent vs the Bears. Teams keep saying " we're going to make Tebow beat us with his arm and not his legs" the last 2 weeks he has done just that.

John Fox is already an ULTRA CONSERVATIVE coach, he was before ever took the Broncos job. Fox hasnt had training camp with Tebow yet. Theyre passing more and more each week and each week is bringing some progress, no reason to think it wont continue.

I really expect a big game vs the Patriots. I think...(hope) Fox has to know that you're gonna have to score points to win. Also, this should be a "nothing to lose game" since 99% of the world expect the Broncos to lose and now the loss doesnt even matter. The Broncos are 1 win away from locking up the playoff spot. Tebow should throw for 300ish yards vs the Patriots.

This week, Bill and Tom have been complimenting Tebow more than the sunday school teachers at the local Denver church! THEYRE SCARED!!!! theyve seen all these people bad mouth Tebow to their demise!! Theyre hoping if they be nice that Tebow will take it easy on them!!!

Rumor is, Brady even went to church to ask the deacon if he had any chance vs Tebow's Broncos and the deacon said....

Brady - "Hey Cam, you were on the same team as Tebow, is he really that good?"
Cam - "woooo..... um... yeah, youre fucked"
