    Default Falcons win...lolol...

I hate to say it, but a lot of that has to do with Vick getting hurt. Damn it's nice to win, but still. They played a decently sloppy game. The defense forcing turnovers also played a big part of this win. Later, QD.

Yeah. If Vick was still in the game then you know eagle would take the win.

lol dude you're fucking crazy....Mike Vick has evolved beyond human levels. Matt Ryan may be smarter but when it's all said and done he has nothing on Vick. I'm not one of Vick's cocksuckers, I didn't really like him when he was here, but he's a whole new QB. With that being said I think it's hard to say whether or not we only won because of him being out, I mean shit Kafka got down the field just as quickly.

All I know my boy Pj was all over Vick. he caused him to fumble the ball that led to a touchdown.I think Matt Ryan sucks as a Qb, he seems scare to throw the ball down field. All he does is short throws, shit I can do that or pass the ball.

Hmmm you must not watch football much matt ryan is such a horrible qb I mean vick took atlanta to back to back winning seasons and to the playoffs his 2nd year, o wait that was Matt Ryan...he is a franchise qb no avoiding it, he is a better qb in the sense of what a real qb is...is vick a better athlete, of course, but not a better QB.

Ryan has a lot on Vick. Vick has NOT evolved anywhere near what you're crediting him for. Has he improved as a QB and not just an athlete? Hell yeah he has. He's done a great turn around from his days of showboating with Atlanta. Now he is evolving for sure, but he hasn't completed that process yet. He has a way to go, but he is progressing nicely. I honestly don't know if he has enough time to go down in history like an Elway or Montana or Marino, but he'll make a name for himself beyond the criminal activity. As far as Atlanta winning with Vick being out, yeah, who knows if that's why. But I think it was a motivating factor.

Who cares where he throws the ball or how far down field he throws it? A win is decided on outscoring an opponent. Not how many yards down field you can throw the ball. Ryan has a 33-15 record in his first 3 years as a pro. He helped lead the Falcons to 3 straight winning seasons. Last year (their second winning season in a row) was the first time this team has ever done that in their history (46 years). His short passes are part of his game. They use that to run the clock down. They use that to tire defenses. Not a thing wrong with staying away from the long ball.

I agree to a point. Vick is on the heels of being a better QB. If he keeps up what he is doing (which I'm not sure if he will), he'll surpass Ryan as a better QB in the sense of the position. And one correction, Ryan led the Falcons to the playoffs in his first year. Lolol. Later, QD.

I still think the only area Ryan has any advantage is at the line before the snap. Granted that is extremely important, and Ryan is damn near as smart as anyone, but he's not even top 10 if you want to talk about physical ability as a QB. And Falcons fans can keep ignoring it all we want but it won't change his natural limitations. Vick just blows me away, his arm strength, accuracy, release speed, all of them are just ridiculous. The whole 4.3 40 time doesn't hurt either. I agree with you QD I don't think he will go down as one of the legendary QB's, but he will go down as one of the all time great athletes to play any sport imo. Problem is Philly wants him to stay in the pocket but are doing a shit job of keeping him safe, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some more injuries this year.

Physical ability everyone has. Its the NFL. Precise passing and completion from a QB has won Championships and very rarely leave the pocket. Not 4.3 speed and a 100 yard arm or speed of lighting passes. Look at the stats. Or ask Tom Brady,Peyton,Troy,John,Brett,Brees. FACT they've won superbowls, and some mulitple. No crazy skilled athletic QB has won a chamiponship . and ill say yet, because it can happen. Pocket passing>On the move passing.

Peyton doesn't have a super bowl, and he's the "smartest" QB to ever play. TEAMS win super bowls. And you also have to consider Vick is pretty much the first of his kind, you can throw Cunningham out there but he still doesn't compare. And Vick is a pocket passer now, do you people not watch him before you comment? Lol not trying to be a dick I'm just saying if you pay attention to his game the huge strides he's taken are undeniable.....if the Eagles could block for him he would be damn near unstoppable with all the weapons he has around him. As much as I love Matty Ice for his almost limitless potential to master the game, I would take Vick over him ANY DAY and imo if you don't agree you're biased, butthurt, or just prefer a less exciting offense. You can all say he took us to the playoffs his first year and Vick didn't, but we had a SHIT team when Vick was here. Roddy White couldn't fucking catch, doo doo offensive line, a defense that is as average as it is now, and btw Vick did take us to a NFC championship. I fucking hate that asshole for just having to fight dogs like a fuckin stupid hood rat, getting rid of him was the right decision, but how can you not think what it would be like iff he was still here?

And btw, saying "everyone" has physical ability may be true, but denying that there are true standouts is retarded. That's like saying CJ Spiller is the same as Adrian Peterson because he's in the NFL and an athlete. Too broad of a statement.

first of his kind some what? but you had stewart, aaron brooks,Mcnabb, Young, and really watch the game, he gets out of the pocket 75% of the time. throwing on the run 8 out of 10 passes is not considered an improved passer. his vision has gotten better. But dropping 100 million on him. Wouldnt have done that. His ERA quickly died teams started realizing more then athletic QBS were getting stopped or hurt. But its everyones opioion i just go with the stats. and Roddy white played one season with him, and that was his rookie year and he was the 3rd option on there list so saying he couldnt catch is not accurate.

If you're talking about Top 10 as in right now, he probably isn't. And if you think about it, who is? Aside from Vick and Tampa's Josh Freeman, there really isn't any QB that is that physically intimidating. Later, QD.

QD, physical ability includes arm strength/release time/etc.... and in those categories I think he falls short. I will say though his release has gotten noticeably faster, I would just like to see him put on 10 pounds or so and try to catch up on arm strength. With a true deep ball threat the offense would be potent to say the least.

Sol I still disagree, he stays in the pocket more often than not. And when he leaves, it's designed or he's forced to. Doesn't really count as just running around if the pocket collapses and you gotta go.

As I said before in response to B18CTurbo, I kind of like his short pass stints. Runs time off the clock and less chance of something happening down field. I'd like to see a long ball every once in a while (which he does do), but I like his style. I'm not saying he is top shelf, but to do what he has done for the Falcons, it can't be denied that has be something. He'll get better. Remember, he's only in his fourth year. He should have a long way to go and lot of things to learn. He won't be a Montana or a Staubach either, but he'll make his mark, I think.

Here are some FACTS that i came upon these are the test scores that players due when they enter the draft and throughout their careers, the numbers are current

They have given out the latest IQ scores for NFL hopefuls. Carl Johnson #57 for the Gators was the bottom dweller with a raw score of 6. That equates to an IQ of 72. Several years ago Florida's all conference QB Chris Leak scored an 8. That's an IQ of 76.

This year's A.J. Green raw score of 10 equates to an IQ of 80

average for 30 NFL quarterbacks slated to start in 2010 is higher, at 28.5. And the average score among the past seven Super Bowl winners is a 30.1. A raw score of 30 is an IQ of 120

    this year:
    Quarterbacks
Greg McElroy: 43 (not 48, as previously reported) (that 43 is IQ 146)
    Blaine Gabbert: 42
    Scott Tolzien: 38
    Nate Enderle: 38
    Christian Ponder: 35
    Ricky Stanzi: 30
    Andy Dalton: 29
    Ryan Mallett: 26
Cam Newton: 21 (That's about IQ 100 --still low for a QB)
    Jake Locker: 20
    Wide Receivers
    A.J. Green: 10
    Julio Jones: 15
    Running Backs
    Kendall Hunter: 9
    Tight Ends
    Julius Thomas: 35
    Offensive Linemen
    Anthony Castonzo: 41
    Danny Watkins: 40
    Steve Schilling: 35
    Carl Johnson: 6
    Linebackers
    Nick Bellore: 36
    Cornerbacks
    Prince Amukamara: 35
    Patrick Peterson: 9
    Chris Culliver: 9

Wonderlic scores for the NFL's 2010 projected starting quarterbacks:
    1. Ryan Fitzpatrick 48
    2. Alex Smith 40
    3. Eli Manning 39
    4. Matt Stafford 38
    5. Tony Romo 37
    6. Aaron Rodgers 35
    6. Matt Leinart 35
    8. Tom Brady 33
    9. Matt Ryan 32
    10. Matt Schaub 31
    11. Philip Rivers 30
    12. Matt Hasselbeck 29
    12. Marc Bulger 29
    12. Brady Quinn 29
    15. Mark Sanchez 28
    15. Peyton Manning 28
    15. Drew Brees 28
    18. Josh Freeman 27
    18. Joe Flacco 27
    20. Carson Palmer 26
    20. Jay Cutler 26
    20. Kyle Orton 26
    23. Ben Roethlisberger 25
    24. Jason Campbell 23
    25. Brett Favre 22
    25. Tim Tebow 22
    25. Chad Henne 22
    28. Bruce Gradkowski 19
    29. Vince Young 15
    30. Donovan McNabb 14
    30. David Garrard 14
    Unknown: Matt Cassel, Matt Moore
Top quarterback prospects in 2010 NFL draft
    Sam Bradford, Oklahoma 36
    Colt McCoy, Texas 25
    Jimmy Clausen, Notre Dame 23
    Tebow 22
Now what do you notice? All the prototypical pocket qbs are towards the top while the scrambling qbs are at the bottom, with the exception of freeman who is mid pack...not saying a scrambling qb cant be successful but none have proven it on a consistent basis, the only slight argument to that is donovan mcnabb when he won with the eagles, but other than that the super bowl winning teams have been led by the prototypical pocket passer, so it must work. Yes being able to run away from pressure is nice but look at most of the qbs that do it, they all get injured by open field hits, especially vick. Just some food from thought

Not racist, these are reported scores....its not their fault on average the white qb apparently tested better than the black

Yea it was just a joke brah....

However I'm still not goin to say Vick isn't a SB caliber QB, even though I'm sure he scored low considering he felt the need to run a dog fighting ring.

Lol at the reasoning behind a low score, but in actuality score means nothing I mean look at 4 of the top 5 on the starters they cant win consistently lol

Yea I mean the test technically has nothing to do with football, but I certainly agree that you can't be a complete retard and run a NFL offense. You do want a smarter guy at that position over any other.

Well I have Tom Brady on fantasy so as long as he throws for 400+ with a sprinkling of TD's they can lose every week for all I care.
