    Default Removed the blacked out tails

    The previous owner thought it was cool looking to paint the tail lights black but I didn't like it. Its was just too much black for me.
    I did a good bit of research about how to remove it safely without damaging the plastic. People were saying sand it down with fine sand paper, then wax/buff out, some ppl used thinners, etc...

    I went to my local paint store and picked up this stuff called Goof Off and it worked GREAT!!! It took all of 10-15 minutes to remove the paint and afterwards I waxed and buffed them. Now I just need to save for a paint job.....

    On to the pics:

    Don't mind the slight dent.... This is my project car/daily 'gas saver'


    Closer look at the murdered out lamps (you can see where I tried sanding, but that would've taken ALLLLL day


    The paint being taken off


    Paint GONE!!! (with the exception of the lil cracks and crevices, lol)


    The stuff that I used + a terry towel (not pictured)


    Its some good stuff.

    Lol you guys are fUunny! Thanks for all of the comments and critiques. I always post before and after. The car is really just a daily driver being that I drive super far to work now.

    The dent is really no problem to me. Very fixable, but not photogenic. Lol I will post pics when I'm done with it though

    thats exactly how i see it...no need to go to an extreme to fix the car up...its a beater to go back and forth to work with. some people are too dramatic. i cant see painting my car right now for the main reason is when they see fresh paint they gona be thinking *time to steal it* i dont have time for that
