its a waste of money going d2b.
you might as well use the money for the conversion plate on b series long block and etc.

d series gearing isnt too bad

first - good luck finding a d to b adapter plate, as very few were ever made until it was discovered it was pointless...

as 2000ex said, there are enough d series transmissions to choose from that you will find one to suit what you are wanting. plus, you can trade your b series trans for a d series plus cash, if that is your logic in wanting a d to b.
You're right - I have no idea what I'm talking about...

Use the Ex/Si trans, it has great gearing. I had a mild built "D" back in the day and with that trans and a stg3 clutch it would spin 2nd, bark 3rd and chirp 4th all day. Use p29 pistons if your going inside the block and a Y8 or Kometic Head gasket. There are even jdm LSD "D" series trans too. Good luck.

there yall go, if your going d, go d all the way, if b, go b all the way.
the only time you need conversion plate is h2b.

d can handle just fine power,
