    Default Catalytic Converter

I have a bad one and I was wondering instead of spending $300 on a new one could I just grab one off a used parts car or one thats somebody has just laying around and put it on. I have a 2000 Civic ex auto.

Yes. Because some cars have a second o2 sensor on their catalytic converters you might or might not need, and some have a different mounting bracket. Just get one for you make and model. On the other hand, you can go get a universal one for your car at advanced auto or autozone, and take it to a muffler shop to get it custom welded.
I won't advertise because I'm not paying to
