    Default crx keeps frying distributors

about a month ago my car was going dead randomly, but it would always start back up. then one day it went dead for good. i checked and it had no spark. so i put on a distributor from my other crx and it started right up. the car ran fine for about a week and then it went dead again today. i put another coil in it and it started up but sputtered a TON then went dead again.

    what should i check first?

sounds to me to definitely be either a short that killing your coil, or ground not making good contact. no clue about that ECU though.

i'm gonna check the grounds tomorrow. i REALLY hope it's not a short in the wiring.

HF ecu will work if and only if your current engine in the CRX is dual point injection.

ALL CRX's are DPFI except the SI model, if yours is a HF and it indeed is MPFI, then it was converted either by you or previous owner
