Default Merry Christmas to my car...

Santa's big brown sleigh arrived a little early, and dropped off some presents for my Mustang. Out of the big bag came some new upgraded brake calipers for the front, and some new axles for the rear. Then he pulled out 4 shiny new 18" wheels and tires, and got all that on just in time for Christmas. Also, out of his bag, came a new set of 15" Weld Pro Stars, for when the car makes it to the track. He must have already known that I plan to be naughty with the car, so no tires made it for the Welds yet.

I think 16-17" would have looked better, but for santa.

I am a 17" fan also, and had that before with the Cobra R's (see sig), but this style was available in an 18" (with deep lip) - and for the price that I got them for, I am not complaining. Tires and wheels are brand new, and I got them really, really cheap. I just needed to get off the 4 lug setup, and get a 5 lug on. I upgraded the front brakes, rear axles, carrier, etc, while I was at it. I want to convert the rear brakes to disc next.
There are just street wheels with 285/40 DRs on back - have 15" Pro Stars for the track, which will run 26" slicks.

I like the new rims and they look good on the mustang I just think its hard to beat the look of some Cobra Rs on a foxbody

Every foxbody in the world is sitting on Cobra R's, I got so tired of them.... I've always wanted the BBS RK's, but they are too much money, and the CCW's are even more.
The Pro Stars are 5 star rims also, so its not like I don't have a set of 5 stars still... they just need tires.

See there. You didn't say anything about 4 -> 5 lug swap. I can live with it a little easier now.

I needed better brakes, so I put PBRs up front.

Santa in the big brown truck brought some "stocking stuffers" that are even better than the wheels.
