trillian has all of them (AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, YAHOO) just in case you didn't know and it's free.
Actually.....for the record.... MSN Messenger is free, now that I think about it, they are all free.They just came out with a new version(Ver. 7.0) of MSN that is "pimp-tyte"... yo. I use MSN, Yahoo, and AIM. And not trillian, because I like the individual features that they each have. For example, AIM is great because everyone uses it and the away message feature. Yahoo has cool smilies and is good for webcam. And MSN is also great for Webcam and file transfers. But..they all work fine for me. Maybe you just need to update? Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Hope this helps. LAter!

I have Trillian, but the carrier Microsoft was having problems a few weeks ago..This thread is old..so everyone giving there opinion on it...hahahahaahaaaaa.

stick with AIM
MSN Messenger is like VD sometimes you think you got rid of it but it just comes right back.. Anyway it really doesn't matter what you use it is all about preference..
