Id say the con is being expensive. Lot of money for a cold intake charge. youre gonna use up your nitrous a lot faster than normal. If you didnt care about being fancy... you could just crack a nitrous bottle open and spray your intercooler with it before you run. All theyre trying to accomplish with those systems is a cold intake charge.
You can also route your windshield sprayer to your intercooler, obviously water isnt going to have as great of an effect as nitrous for cooling, but its the same concept. Cooler air = more hp.
Something to do if you have some old nitrous parts laying around going to waste, i dont think id buy one of those purpose built kits for it.
If you want to cool the intercooler, but not increase the cylinder pressure substantially, then CO2 is a better option to spary onto the surface of your intercooler.
If you want to make more power, and already have a pretty good safety margin, you are better off sprying the nitrous closer to teh intake manifld - after the intercooler.
If you want to create a safety net, use a methanol systme like the AEM, Snow, etc.

heard co2 could be bad for you motor since it doesnt burn quickly enough. obviously would do c02 if the advantages are the same since filling a c02 tank is much cheaper.
co2 does not burn. But if it is sprayed on the outside surface of a fmic it will reduce the temp of it and help cool the intake charge down.

so basically same concept in spraying nitrous on the fmic just cheaper overall and wont cause any harm to my engine?
