I was there, fun weekend. Road Atlanta is one scary track. The last turn is amazing. The whole track keeps your eyes wide open the whole time I love it.

    350D

Heard you could actually make the 300D better through a Hack and open up options a 350D can't unlock yet.

I just sold my 20D because honestly it was too much of a camera for me. What camera you use? Looking for any help in the future?

But again great pics! Deffinately have to start getting into the SCCA thing so I can race on real tracks.

I shoot with a 350D with various lenses. As for help, right now I just started up the company with Jaime (JaimeCBR900) so between the two of us we have it covered right now but we will see what happens once summer breaks.

Why was the 20D to much for you? It has just a few more features than the 350D but I can see where it is intimidating just starting out. The 350D is the same way unless your used to the canon D-SLR lineup.

Yea lets just say I went from The Nikon Coolpix series straight to a Canon 20D. Deffinately scares you a bit. Different company, better quailty, more options and less camera modes. I took 3 classes at Savannah Art and Design since I know a couple teachers there through AIU and it helped me crossover easy. 20d was just extremely professional too quick. I was just getting used to the Rebel XT and the 20D went in detail with some things that I thought the Rebel XT was already doing extreme.

Hard to explain but once I master this camera in a year or so I'll jump to a 5 or 10D.

Now that would be too much camera for me!

I am planning on getting a new 100-300 lens that has image stabilization so I can get better motion pics. I just have to sell a few of my extra lenses first.

Those two lenses cover the focal range pretty good. What are you wanting to get next? The 70-300 USM with IS runs about $580 and if you are looking at "L" glass then the 70-200 f2.8L USM with IS runs about $1700 which is the lens that Jaime has and the one I am saving up for.

Right now the ones I have are:
    18-55 Kit lens
    70-300 Sigma
28-75 f2.8 Tamron (picking up after first of year)
50mm f1.8 II (picking up after first of year)

I just sold one of my 100-300mm lenses (I had two) for $295 used. That's around the price range I'd be looking at. I've not sold a Sigma before, so I need to check around to see what those go for used. I'll find out and let you know.

Anyways... I want the 70-300 with IS. I'm not a professional photographer, but I'd like to take pro quality pictures. I think that lens would be perfect.

yeah the 70-300 IS is a nice lens. The cheapest I have found it from a reputable dealer is $580~ I am picking up the 28-75 f2.8 after the first of the year and can't wait. The next lens after that will be the 70-200 f2.8L which is around $1700
