Hey Heretic John! I think Mdeezy is also a member on here and he could help out with the VQ. What type of rebuild are you doing? Also are you going to add any goodies like cams/rods/pistons? A friend of mine is selling his VQ35DE with 140k miles and engine stand for $400. In the case that you would rather get another motor instead of rebuilding.

if you decide to have a shop do install i recommend Forged Performance in Marietta or Z1 in Carrollton. both are nationally know shops, GLW build. Are you using new 20g turbos or 18g?

I'd go to Forge Performance for your build. My boy went there for his 07 Auto 350z HKS TT making 600.

Yes Forged did all the work on my car. I did not build the motor, but they have a good track record doing so and planned on having mine built, but sold the car due to moving to Italy. I drove my stock block car with 400 whp for 20k miles without issue.

The car was fun to drive. The 18g's spool quickly so power is there in no time with most being in the midrange of the power band. I am not a good drag racer, but ran a 12.8 in 2 trips there while I had it. I have seen similar setups run low 12's or even high 11's on DR's. If you search on here I had a welcome/build thread back around Jan./Feb. 08 on here with pics/dyno etc.
