    Default Losing antifreeze

Hi guys i have a 95 integra one night i was racing one of buddies and afterwards i noticed a smelled antifreeze. Did think anything about but the next day i looked in the radiator and no antifreeze, so i replaced a hose that i thought it might be and toped off the radiator. But for some reason it keeps losing antifreeze and i keep smelling it but it aint leaking out. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

at least you had the balls to till i.a you were street racing lmao

first of all, antifreeze isnt magic so it dosnt disappear
if its not leaking its burning off

check what color smoke is coming out of your exhaust
    white would be antifreeze

if your smelling it then it has to be escaping. did you check all the other hoses and look for leaks?

pressure test the cooling system, and do a compression check on the engine. that should tell you where its leaking.

It could be a head gasket if the coolant is being pushed out the radiator cap.

You might be able to take your spark plugs out stick a flashlight down there and see if the top of your pistons are clean.(headgasket) Its a short -cut way, but a compression test would be the most accurate way.

    Okay lets break it down.
Coolant can only be lost if it is leaking or burning. Now First thing first, if you dont have a radiator pressure tester, i advise you go rent one at Oreilly's. If not, you gonna have to use a bright flashlight and inspect your radiator (see if its not cracked anywhere). Next, inspect your radiator hoses for cracks, leaking, or looseness. Inspect the area around the motor and where the head mates to the block, and under the motor (Like really inspect it, don't half-ass it ). If no signs of leaking at this point, then next inspect your cylinders, by pulling each spark plug out. Use a small LED flashlight, shine it down each cylinder and sight any moisture or puddle of coolant on top of the piston...Sniff if you have to, if you see signs of moisture/fluids (and if it smells like coolant, your headgasket is likely blown). Your exhaust should be puffing out white smoke, and your car should sound like it's running on only a few sparkplugs (sounds like it wants to die)

    Well is your car overheating?
Could just be your thermostat failure to cause you to have low coolant fluid.

But all in all, inspect all components of the cooling system, before actually spending money. It could just be a minor fix.
