It's nice as hail to be able to just get done whenever and come home. Every night this week (but one), I've been arriving home before midnight and haven't lost a dime on my pay (no I'm not salary). Getting home 4,5 even 6 hours early is quite pleasant, that's for sure. Later, QD.

Haha! I can't, lolol. Governed below the limit. But I don't play either. I make my moves and get them done with a quickness that only the Flash could understand. Tricks of the trade and short cuts get me where I need to go. I don't get paid to sit around. My time is my money. I move, I earn. Later, QD.

I've been to that TA once. Several years ago. I always go to the Pilot. Just like them better. Every time I go 20 East, I stop at that Pilot and get my snacks and beverages. Later, QD.

curious as to how you leave hours early without loosin pay if youre not salaried, do you get paid an hourly wage, if so i could learn a few things from you lol

as long as he makes his deliveries on or ahead of time, he gets paid the same.

I also love my job. I get paid quite well and don't do much actual "work." My job usually consists of browsing the internet, magazines, or studying. Even when I do have to work it's fun and my boss is a carefree blissful hippy. If only I were full time...

i like big rigs for some reason..

If I'm local and pull in about 6-8 loads a day. Depending on the speed of the places I go. Depending on how far out I go, I can make a couple or 3 loads. If I go to Florida, I can only do that one load as it takes my full shift to do it. I drive a 2008 International.

ohh cool...you should set up a double load when you go out of town....one load to the out of town destination and another on the way back to atlanta....got any pics of that rig of yours??

We do the double loads as often as we can. I don't set up any runs. I come in and find out then what I'm doing that night. That usually dictates how fast I move. If I see the chance to get done early if I hurry, I move. If it's still going to be an all nighter, I take my time.

WHen I was OTR, I ran some very cool roads. Traveled 34 states in 30 days and saw a LOT. From Lake Michigan to Niagra Falls to NYC and everything in between, lolol. Later, QD.
