Default 84 Turbo Maxima [1st Gen]; RWD; MT

Update: 6/5/10... Price drop to $1800 obo.

Update: 5/17/10... Price drop to $2000 without BBS wheels or $3000 including the BBS wheels. Replaced front lower control arm bushings, greased the T/C bushings and serviced the front wheel bearings. Car now has body damage on the left side affecting the front left fender, front left door, rear left door and rear quarter panel all cosmetically.

Update: 2/20/2010... Transmission started ticking, but still drivable. Temporary price drop to $3000 as is. I'll bump the price back up when I swap transmissions.

I will consider a trade for a 24'+ enclosed car trailer or a pickup rated to tow 10,000+ lbs. All of my spare parts are available free to the buyer. Currently, I am not going to part out the car. The car is located in Clarkston, GA (Near Stone Mountain). I will edit this post with further details and add pictures as I have time. Here is a description of the car:

    1984 Nissan Maxima [1st Generation]
    VIN: *******S1ET207173
    205,000 miles on body
    Blue / Blue

    Engine:
    82 280ZXT Engine (~160,000 miles)
    Modified Oil Pickup
    Modified Turbo Oil Drain
    Z31 Computer System
    K & N Cone Filter
    ARP Head Studs
Rebuilt Head 15,000 miles ago (P90a)
Adjustable Waste Gate Modification (Boost set conservative at 8psi)

    Transmission / Clutch:
    Stock 280ZXT Flywheel and Clutch
    SS Clutch Hydraulic Line
Stock Maxima 5-speed Transmission (Currently has problem with 5th gear, clicks in other gears but they are fully functional)
    Custom Short Shifter

    Exhaust:
3” mandrel bent SS w/ Magnaflow Cat and Muffler
Exhaust Gas Temperature Probe on Cylinder 1

    Suspension:
Tokico Illumina (5-way adjustable) Shocks / Struts
Ground Control Coilovers Front and Rear
Ground Control Front Camber / Castor Plates
Nismo Front T/C Bushing Set (Delrin ball, aluminum cup)
Addco Sway Bars (1 1/8” Front and 7/8” Rear)

    Brakes:
    KVR Carbon Brake Pads
    SS Brake Hydraulic Lines
    Black Powder Coated Rebuilt Calipers
    Recent Disks Front and Rear

    Interior:
    240Z Steering Wheel
    Recaro Front Seats
    LCD Display in Clock Location
Dash lights converted to 280ZX orange
Gauge Pod (Includes Boost Gauge and Exhaust Gas Temperature)
    Optima Battery in Trunk

    Audio:
6.5” Custom Peerless Component Sets in Front
8” Peerless Sub Woofer in Rear Deck

    Exterior:
    Currently Has 200SX Rims (15”x6”)
    Shortened Bumpers
Dents and Rust will be shown in pictures

The mechanicals tend to outlast the car when in a northern setting (this car spent probably 180,000 miles up north). The body is in rough shape (there are dents in most panels, and rust is coming through the bottom of the doors, sills and fenders). The hydraulic lifters tap when cold or nearing oil change. I expect someone could drive and use this car for quite some time, but would eventually want to get a donor body (or do a lot of body work). I am located in Atlanta, GA, so anyone who might be interested is welcome to stop by. I have several spare parts (including 1 or 2 spare L24 Maxima Engines) that come with the car "free". Which means, we work out a price for the car and the buyer gets to pick which parts they'd like.

Pictures (I will add more pictures as requested):

    Body damage right side:

    Body damage left side:

    Body damage left side close:

    Engine bay:

    Modified dash lights:

    Boost-o-meter:

Rims For Sale Separately (Now included):
I am also selling a set of Staggered BBS mesh rims (2x RS040 and 2x RS039) that have not been used since being refinished (so there are no tires on them). I’m selling them separately [from the car] for $1400 obo or with the car at a lower price. Here is an image of them on the car:

    So..
Please let me know if you have any questions about what the car has. You can contact me via PM, email or call me at 678-279-4729.

    Thanks - Chris

You really can't see it with the engine in. It is under the intake manifold. Here is a picture of an old Maxima turbo swap I did with the intake removed:

I ordered the trans parts to rebuild my spare. Buyer will get the parts or rebuilt trans at time of sale.

I've expanded my search to any pickup that is rated to tow 10,000 lbs.

Price drop to $3000 including the BBS wheels.

Negative: There was some recent body damage.
Positive: I just replaced front lower control arm bushings, greased the T/C bushings and serviced the front wheel bearings.

I will post some updated pictures soon.

    New pictures added.

Lex, yea, the moving prep has kept me distracted. I want to keep the Recaro seat brackets for if the buyer wants them. If they do not, you are first in line.

It does not. You just can't use 5th gear. It does include a spare trans that needs a bearing and a bearing / syncro set.
