    Default p72 ecu help

Here's the deal, I've already got a P72 ECU from and OBD1 gsr. I understand the p72 is needed to control a stock GSR IM's IAB/butterflies. And knock sensor vs the P28.

But if I'm not running the stock IM would it still be okay to run if I will be getting it chipped and tuned? Are there any disadvantages of running a P72 vs a P28?

    Thanks in advance.
