    Default My xbox took a crap

    It's got three blinking red lights, does anyone know the fix for this ? I really don't want to send it in for repair.

    Well I have read that there is a fix for it you can do at home, just wanting to know if anyone knows about it

    There are "fixes" on youtube, but they will most likely void your warranty... I'd just send it in to Microsoft for a free repair.

    You can either do the towel trick and potentially void your warranty for a few more hours of gameplay or suck it up and send it in.

    got it on mine and had a computer shop fix mine cause it was out of warr. they fixed it, ran it for a day to make sure no problems, then gave it back to meask for myles, it's elite techs

    For about $300 bucks you can get it "fixed".. just go to Best Buy and get a PS3... LOL

    I fixed mine for $5. Just needed two 'X' clamps on the bottom of the motherboard to let air go through. About a 30 minute job...been running like a champ for over a year now. Good luck!

    That sux, i sent mine in for repair when that happened and they sent me a brand new one with an extra hard drive on it, i traded the HD for a new game at gamestop and my Xbox worked again, that was three years ago and its still going strong...

    SEND IT TO MICROSOFT! if your lucky you will get a new one back... they have gotten quick about getting them back. Ive heard of them coming back in a week before. but thats if its still under warranty

    If it's less than THREE years old, just send it in. Mine only took a week and a half to get back. They send you a 1 month LIVE card back with it too.

    I turned around and sold mine that night and finally bought a PS3.

    Those damn blinking lights!!! I've had it happen to me twice already. So, I decided to get an elite and give my latest new/repaired one to jeff. Sorry I missed your call yesterday. I was out working in John's Creek till 7 last night.
