Default If something is like actually really bothering you...

... then don't post in the WL. I mean, I've seen lots of threads like "pray for this person" or "I need support" etc. The first post is always like "I normally don't ask for much but my mom/dad/friend/brother/ etc. is in intensive care/has a disease/ got into an accident/ died etc. I really need help" I am not going to post in any of the threads bashing them because I don't think you should hit someone when they're down, but seriously, if something is actually touchy and a sore subject for you, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. I mean, 99% of the time, we're lucky enough no one is THAT rude to come into these threads and say something negative, but it IS the internet, and it is a pretty harsh site (IA is a bit more lenient on assholeness than most car web forums) and not to mention the most rule-less section on the site. If you're lucky, people won't bother you, but if the subject is sensitive then why even open yourself up to the chance of being hurt by a rude or stupid comment? If you want to tell your friends in this community, PM them. There is no reason to tell these super sensitive stories to a bunch of strangers, and if you have to, then do it at a church or something. If you have no friends or family in real life that you feel comfortable bringing these problems to, then you don't even need to be on this site, you need to be finding out where you went wrong, and go make some real friends. Posting sensitive material here only opens an opportunity for negativity, and not to mention ruins the fun, sarcastic, and joking atmosphere of the site.

Cliffs: if it's touchy material, leave it to your friends, I.A. is for fun, not your personal support group

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

I think the level of respect for a person's "problem thread" is dependent on... well...

    I can't explain it, so here's a chart:

I can see that as well. No thread, no matter how serious, will ever stay on topic in the WL. Later, QD.

I fully understand your standpoint on this matter. However, if that person is compelled to reach out to other sources, quite frankly, they Should. Sometimes... well Actually, In my opinion, I believe in Quality over Quantity so if 1 out of 10 replies yield a favorable response then so be it. When you're dealing with something this serious all your looking for in support so the trash responses can easily be blurred out (depending on your psychological makeup).

I believe that a forum can be an outlet for pain, suffering, or just a way to get out, but i also think that the WL is a place for bullshit, rants, etc...and maybe not for Prayers, thought, whatever.

Maybe we could get a new subsection just for issues like these?

OR!!!! If your ass hole does not get hurt easy you can just ignore the idiots when they post dumb shit in your thread, BUT that's only if your ass hole does not get hurt by people saying stupid shit...
People do have friends on here, it's mostly the high school kids on here that say stupid fucking shit. It's annoying that we even have people on this site under 18...

I say we ban everyone under 18...

But still, it's the whoreslounge section. It's harder for good to come out of these sections on forums. I mean, if someone is tough enough to post up and take the good with th ebad then that's fine, but I know that when my aunt died, I had people around me I was much happier to talk about than on here, and one insensitive joke on here would have pissed me off.

no one would post in this so called subsection you speak of, simply because no one wants to read or hear about any of that horse shit. I agree with the OP, keep that cry for me bullshit outa here...
