    Ran across this on the net. It's Bugatti's latest. It's called the 16.4. Why, you say? Because it's 16 cyls and 4 turbos and 8.0 liters. All that to net....ummmm.....1001 HP and 922 ft/lb of torque......

    Pretty badass if you ask me.

    I believe the name of the car is the Veyron. They've been talking about building it forever and finally got it right. Cooling was the biggest issue on the damn thing. With that much power it is not surprising. The 1001HP was on the Euro rating system which is a little higher than the SAE that the US uses. It's still in the 900's though. Very slick car.

    ^^^I think you're right. What the hell do you plan to do with that much power in a luxury car? Too damn scared to drive it fast.....you'll either fuck it up or just don't want to press on the gas too fast.

    It's going to be about 1.3 million. 0-62 in 2.5 0 to 125 in 7.3 0 to 188 in 16.7 and it weighs 4300lbs. It's a bad ass car. It's a Bugatti it's meant to be excessive and exclusive. You hand pick your colors, materials for the interior. Michelin made a special tire for this car, I believe it is a 365mm tire. The brakes are 15.7 inch front and 15.0 inch rear ceramic rotors with eight piston front and six piston rear calipers. So far they've sold about 40 of the cars and there are still about 10 slots available. They are being sold through 20 dealers worldwide, the required down payment is $370,000 + tax and that gets you a two year 31,000 mile warranty.

    I just think it's awesome that they actually built it instead of it being just a talked about concept. They put in a hell of a lot of time and R & D to build this thing. I am getting my info from the November Automobile magazine issue.
